This is an amazing product! I installed it in a 2005 van and now i have an apple car play large screen for my old vehicle! I love that it easily links to your phone via blue tooth and communicates your music, driving directions, etc. via a fm station that your car radio receives from the unit.. I especially like that it automatically records forward facing video in case of an accident. I also love the backup camera which really makes my old car feel like a new car. I am recommending this outstanding unit to my friends with older cars!

Final update - My multiple messages to the seller/manufacturer has gone un-answered. According to the product description, the seller (Veralady) is also the manufacturer. I've also chatting multiple times with Amazon associates, who have attempted to contact the seller on my behalf, and conversed over email with the Amazon warranty department. Amazon has concluded that this item is past the return period and now a warranty issue, which is understandable. Amazon "encourages" that at I deal with the seller/manufacturer myself. Looks like I'm out ~$100. 10 Month update - Dropped to one star. I should have returned. The rear camera view stopped working. I think the camera still works (as I'm detecting voltage at the 2.5mm plug from the camera), but display unit no longer shows the rear camera. I'm within 1 year warranty, I tried contacting seller to file warranty claim, but no response, Amazon has tried contacting them as well. Will update if they respond before my warranty period is up. Overall good product for good price. Display is clear and responsive with good resolution. UI is not bad and simple. Device has many features. Package includes everything you need, including rear camera with wide angle view. Only problem is that this device will not go into night mode automatically. Maps with android auto stays in day mode and is very bright at night. The unit will dim, but still too bright to use at night. I have to force my phone to use night mode, and not auto mode. Auto mode works fine with my two other cars (one car with factory honda radio and another car with android based radio), so I don't think it's my phone (galaxy s23). I would return, but real pain to remove rear camera, just have to remember to change day/night/auto mode everytime.

This was so easy to install. I ordered this instead of having my car's GPS updated. This was 4 x less $$$ and works great with additional features. I did not need to install the backup camera since I already had one, but it is nice to have a camera in the backseat for little ones. I have an auxiliary port, so I hooked the CarPlay screen up to that and have sound coming through the car. I have now been driving around with this for about 2 months. The dashboard attachment has not disconnected or fallen off my console like many others. This will make a great gift. Works with both ios and android.

I use my CarPlay device every day, and I almost love it! I installed it in my older 2003 vehicle, and after adding a backup camera, everything worked great. The integration with Android Auto is seamless, allowing me to connect to my car radio via FM signal. I can easily play music through Bluetooth on the CarPlay, which has made my driving experience much more enjoyable. However, there is one major drawback that keeps me from giving it a full five stars: the clock on the CarPlay device frequently resets. Every few days, I find myself having to reset the time, which can be quite frustrating. Why is this important? When I’m driving, the clock affects the brightness of the GPS/map display. At night, if the clock is incorrect, the screen can be too bright, while during the day, it might be too dim to see clearly. I have to manually adjust the time to ensure the screen brightness is appropriate for day or night driving. Overall, while I appreciate the functionality and features of the CarPlay device, the persistent clock issue is a significant inconvenience.

This unit is plenty big enough to see the screen and utilize the touchscreen. The installation was pretty straight forward. I'd like to see better instructions but this is the way of the world it seems. All the items needed for the installation were available. For the price this is a great option for older cars that don't have a factory-installed camera, plus you get the ability to use the unit for audio.
