This pool closing kit by POOLHOUR seemed like a good idea but won’t work in my situation. This winterizing kit is made for large pools and cannot be portioned for smaller pools. I ordered this product thinking I could use it for a hot tub/pool; however there are only a few hundred gallons in that pool and this winter kit is a one full dose pack. Since it treats up to 15,000 gallons it would overwhelm the water in my pool. It’s very easy to use by opening and placing in the pool. The pods should float and dispense the liquid over time. The water should remain clear and algae free and ready for use the next season. All pools should still be shock treated and filtered for 24 hours before use next season. I’m not sure it’s wise for me to figure an appropriate amount and mix it in the water. So for now I can’t rate how effective it will be for a small pool. Considering the listed price is $22.99 and how much prep work it can eliminate for the next season, I do consider this winter pool kit to be a good value for the money. ... show more
