I hinestlybhad pretty low expectations for thebprice point this is at...and for what it is it actually work quite well, but still, it doesn't quite capture the fine silt that is just not 100% captured by my filter, yet will flow right throughbthe bag on this. So there is still a little bit of gunk left accumulating on the bottom of the pool. However...it does do quite well at sucking up the gravel the kids like to throw in the pool, and quite a bit of the other grit that settles out after a day of pool use. I definitely recommend using a heavier duty standard pool accessory pole. For the money...definitely a useful and helpful pool cleaning tool, but I'm now left wondering if I can find some way to put a finer filter bag on this some way. For what it's worth: I have a 15ft Intex Above gnd pool and was able to easily reach all areas without trouble, although managing the hose and the pole is somewhat fidly.

The device works great. However, unless you don’t mind vacuuming inside the pool, I suggest you get a different pole. This pole is small and cheap. My pool is 18ft round. I can only get the perimeter if I stand outside of the pool. Never the middle unless I am in the pool. Otherwise scrubs great. Vacuums great. The use of the hose for suction does add water to the pool, which should be common sense, but just in case.

I have a smallish inground vinyl pool, 10 x 24. Just under 5 feet at its deepest. My construction went on for a month after the pool was installed so it was an endless battle of just sand and dirt and more sand. This vacuum certainly does not replace my weekly maintenance, but I get in the pool with it and walk around slowly and I can collect 2 pounds of sand in that little bag. For a pool that is not overly deep, or a very large size, this is absolutely a good tool to have if you just need to do a quick cleanup between weekly maintenance. I had no problem with the connector fitting my hose which is one of those silver bullets. For some reason I couldn't figure out how to empty the bag and it took me a while to figure out that it's actually Velcro-d at the top of the bag. I took a chance on it because I figured what the heck for the price either can help or it can't. It definitely worked out for me

It was easy to operate and put together but you have to be careful because the netting on the bag is velcro and when you empty it it will get trash back in your pool, dirt from the bottom of the pool goes right on through and rises back to the top

I loved the original pool whale as an inexpensive alternative to expensive pool vacuum but this new and improved product seems to address all of the shortcomings of the original. The offer of the 10.5 extension pole with adapter remedied the short coming’s of the short flimsy supplied pole. The new quick release bag is amazing it seems to also capture pool sand at my pool bottom, in the past I use to put in disposable coffee filters to capture the sand in old unit. And then when cleaning the bag I notice the bottom of bag is just Velcro’s so just separate to clean, brilliant. The only complaint I have is the quick release hose coupling doesn’t seem to close well on my Zero used hose coupling,but otherwise I am truly impressed by this new version of the product and would highly recommended

It is what it is. If your cleaning a pool, get a bigger, better unit. I'm using it in a hot tub, so its still a decent value.

Don’t be fooled by the toy-like looks of this vacuum. It works super well if you have a small pool! I have a 2.5 ft pool and this takes up pretty much everything (I do pick up any larger debri before I use this since it won’t suck up anything bigger than a small leaf). It gets a lot of the small stuff stuck in corners and such. Plus, I like how easy it is to store. Really light weight. I definitely recommend if you have a small vinyl/blow up pool.
