Essentially Worthless. I ended up ordering two of these, thinking that the first one must have been defective. However, both functioned exactly the same way. When placed into my 21' diameter, flat-bottom, above-ground pool, the unit would move forward 10' - 15', stop and sit for a while, turn sharply to the right or left, sit again for a while, and then move off 5' - 15' in a new direction. And then stop, sit, turn, and begin again. After doing this for maybe 15 minutes it would finally stop and signal "failure to escape", essentially indicating that it was stuck. It didn't matter if I put it in bottom only mode, sides only mode, or bottom and sides mode. It simply never cleaned more than about 20% of the pool before stopping. There were no obstacles in the pool to avoid, but it seemed to spend most of its time stopping, changing direction, and then starting again. Truly puzzling behavior. I returned both units and ordered a different brand, which has worked very well.

Our little "Dory" (she's blue like the fish) is so helpful in the pool! We have an oblong in-ground pool with decorative mosaic tiles on the floor & walls. Dory doesn't do stairs but she climbs those walls! When we first put her in the pool she made long pauses like she was "mapping" the pool out. Many times I thought she wasn't going to work because of those very long pauses. But my husband said be patient. He was right (I hate saying that too). Once she got the lay of the pool she methodically starting cleaning! Every day we put her in she goes right to work. We have a pool cage so very little debris is in our pool but when it looks a little dingy we put her in and when I take out the basket she has always collected fine dirt with algae. Our Dory has taken a lot of the cleaning work out of the way for us. I'm happy with Dory, if I wanted her to clean my steps I would have paid an additional $100 for the higher priced model but for our family, she's PERFECT!

I wasn’t sure if this pool vacuum robot would be a good fit for my smaller pool, but I’m so glad I gave it a try! It has completely exceeded my expectations. Since my pool is on the smaller side, this robot can clean it two to three times on a single charge. That’s right – I only need to charge it every few days, which is super convenient. The battery life is amazing, and it doesn’t sacrifice performance for efficiency. The suction power is impressive, easily picking up leaves, dirt, and even those tiny bits you wouldn’t normally notice. It also climbs the walls and cleans along the waterline, so every part of the pool is spotless. Another feature I love is how easy it is to use. You just charge it, drop it in, and press a button – no hassle at all. When it’s done or running low on battery, it parks itself near the edge of the pool, so you can easily retrieve it. For anyone with a small to medium-sized pool, this robot is a game-changer. It’s saved me so much time and effort, and my pool has never been cleaner. Highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded. Really, ZERO stars for above ground pools. Probably 4 stars for inground pools with a perfectly flat surface. Battery life was good. It stayed in the same place for hours spinning in circles when the wheels finally made traction. The ground clearance is an issue for an above ground pool since there are always small imperfections (bumps) in the liner floor. You will be very disappointed if you buy this for an above ground pool. You may enjoy it with a pool that has a flat floor. I wish it had worked. I still want a battery powered pool robot. I just want one that actually picks up the debris. Does anyone know if the track version works better for an above ground application?

Was not happy with the performance. It cleaned the ground OK. Would not get all the tiny particles (sand) but did get all of the bigger items rather well. My pool walls have a very small ledge, and the unit would get stuck on this ledge in limbo and just drive and drive but going nowhere. I would not recommend if you have a lip or ledge (not a large seat - I mean a small lip or ledge on a fiberglass pool wall)...for this I needed the track/tank style bot (not wheels). It was OK, not great, I went with another brand.
