  • Perfect for an Above Ground Pool!
Item Shape: Max
This is a must have, especially if you have an above ground soft sided pool. I can never get the wrinkles out of the bottom completely and I had an automatic vacuum that would end up getting stuck and the battery would eventually die. I decided to go with a hand held vacuum since I am extremely particular about debris in my pool. This vacuum gets everything! I have sand around my pool ( never do this!) so I am constantly fighting the battle of sand at the bottom. I come out every other day and vacuum the pool completely. Yes it’s more work than an auto vacuum but for the precision and price , it can’t be beat! If you are like me and very particular about getting every last piece of debris out of the pool then grab some headphones , get in your pool and vacuum away! ... show more

  • Quick, Easy Cleanup Without the High Price Tag - solid first impression
Item Shape: Max
🤿🏊🏼♂️ If you're a pool owner who can't justify the cost of a high-end automatic pool vacuum but still want to take some pressure off your filtration system, the POOL BLASTER Max Cordless Pool Vacuum is a great option to consider. I came across it in a “top pool vacuums” article and decided to give it a try. So far, it's done a solid job picking up debris and keeping the bottom of the pool clean. This was just the first use, so I'm hoping it holds up over time—but initial impressions are definitely positive. ... show more

  • Does a great job
Item Shape: Max
I must admit this is our 2nd pool blaster. We purchased this very one and used the heck out of it for 3 summers. It finally died when we started it up this summer and I thought I'd look for something that may have more lasting power but after a week of searching I just went ahead and reordered another one of these since the price hadn't changed. I have seen that pool stuff doesn't really last longer than 4 or 5 summers but I want it to work beautifully when it does. My 4 stars is only because I wish it would have lasted another couple of summers but it does work well. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS ... show more

  • It does what it says it's going to do.
Item Shape: Max
Other vacuums have lots of fake good reviews, I was worried that this would be the same. I was wrong! It's a great vacuum! (Not perfect) But for $200 bucks it picks up the sand & silt of the smallest size. What it's not: Fast, it's got the power to pick up everything the brush head moves across, but the brush head is small. Add to that a small filter. Still being able to do what it does for the price is a big game changer. ... show more

  • Not useful for any reasonably sized pool
Item Shape: Max
Having read other reviews I thought I'd try this on our 15 foot by 20 foot in ground pool. The first thing I noticed after unpacking it was the small size of the collection bag, and the fairly narrow diameter of the nozzle - which suggested it wouldn't do well on any reasonably sized leaves. Even so I decided to use it after a dust storm to see how well it coped. The results were disappointing. First, the collection chamber is tiny - even if it had worked well, I would have had to empty the bag every few minutes. Second, it got stuck on quite small leaves, which blocked the intake and wedged open the small plastic return valve in the vacuum tube - meaning that when I took the vacuum out of the water and switched it off, a large amount of dirt and water came back out of the tube onto the pool surround. In operation, the unit is buoyant, which means you have to keep a downward pressure on the pole to keep it in touch with the bottom and sides of the pool. It was only truly effective for a few minutes, after which as the filter bag became clogged by dust particles, it started to leave large streaks across the pool bottom. As others noted, it has a weird connector for recharging which was difficult to use - but other than that first charge, it won't be an issue, because I'm unlikely to use it again. Given that I've already used it once, and the filter bag is full of gunk, I guess I can't return it. But if I could, I would. I would not advise anyone to buy this unit. Save your money and go with a bigger, more capable unit. This might be OK for a small above ground pool, or a spa. For an in ground pool of any size, it's really not workable. ... show more

  • Very Nice, Quality Unit!
Item Shape: Max
Third season now and it works flawlessly. I have a robot for major cleanup and just use this for daily touch-ups. Doesn't do well on higher steps due to the fact that it's mostly out of water.

  • Between a toy and a great tool. B+
Item Shape: Max
I hate reviews. Most people are whining about a product that they didn't understand how to use or they just had a one-off bad experience and need to vent. I wanted to use this pool vac for several weeks before saying anything about it. So first - I'm asking a lot of it because we have a large gunite in-ground pool with a DE filter system. I of course expect to do the majority of my vacuuming with the traditional hose through skimmer technique. What I wanted this for was quick touch-ups. You know those spots in your pool where silt and junk collect because of the pattern of your returns? I just wanted to be able to clean those up quickly without dragging out the skimmer hose setup - and in doing so, also buy myself a little more time between backwashes. So what's the verdict? It's a great little vac. However, it loses suction power fast due to the nature of the filter, it's capacity is quite small, and the diameter of the intake port is narrow -- meaning any large leaves, maple seed pods, etc -- can pretty much stop the presses - so you have to do a good scooping first. Battery life seems perfectly acceptable. Yes - there's a more expensive model with more power, a bigger head, and more capacity -- but I couldn't talk myself into going over $200 for touch-ups. If you can afford it -- go for the big gun. If your pool is small - this model will be great. Don't drop it, because it looks like it probably couldn't withstand the fall. Like I said - it's a bit of a toy. But not a bad toy. Advice to the manufacturer: There's no need for a billion different models. Maybe 3. Small, Medium, Large. That should not only cover all the bases, but it will make you look more serious. Too many iterations of the same product is goofy. B+ Not too shabby! ... show more
