The simplicity of attaching this to the end of a pole, switching it on and giving the pool a quick once over makes this the huge value that it is. The suction is plenty powerful for my 16 x 32 in ground pool and the debris capacity for routine cleaning is adequate. Fine particles like algae and pollen will gum up the filter quickly, but it’s easy to rinse it out with a hose and get back to vacuuming. The case is a bit fragile and developed a crack within the first season. I don’t recall dropping it or anything, but I also don’t think it arrived defective. Regardless, the crack allowed the motor/battery compartment to flood and the unit is dead. You can replace that bit for about $50 and I will do that because I believe it’s worth it. I’ll just need to be much more careful going forward. If you are considering this vacuum and have any doubts about performance, they are unfounded. This works great, just treat it with care.

This is our first year owning a pool, and this vacuum has been one of our best purchases for it. Our pool is 20ft wide, and one charge lasts a few cleanings. The vacuum works great on small particles and some larger debris, like bugs and some leaves. The vacuum is very easy to put together and clean out after using.

I have an 18' round, semi above ground pool. My automatic sweeper never cleans the entire pool, so I purchased this as an addition. It works great. It picks up dirt, seed pods and leaves very nicely. The charge seems to hold well. At this point, it is well worth the purchase price.

Upon the death of my Intex vacuum I was in need of a new. I had purchased a robotic self-cleaning pool vacuum but was very disappointed with its performance. After reading several reviews, I decided to purchase the Pool blaster catfish. I love it for its simplicity & effectiveness. It has 10 times more suction power than the old Intex vacuum, yet with the similar design, which is light and easy to maneuver. It is exactly what I was looking for to clean our '18 above ground pool.

This product works great to pick up debris in the bottom of our in ground pool. We use it to spot clean to mitigate the debris entering our filter. Keeps backwashing at a minimum. Also, the sooner you remove organic material from the pool the lower your phosphate levels, keeping algae in check as long as chlorine levels are correct. I gave it 4 stars for suction power but what do you expect? It's battery powered. If you live in an area with a lot of large, leafy type debris, you may want to consider a model with a larger debris cannister. The product was priced right and was delivered undamaged and on time.

Bought this based on others opinions. Was hoping for a good affordable vacuum to spot clean our pool but it only will get the small fine stuff like sand. It does a good job with suction of sand and filter worked great just have to rinse out after every use or every so often of vacuuming. Battery holds charge well. Not sure I’d buy again as we need something to get a little bigger stuff out of pool than sand.

I was leery about ordering this product, but hauling out the hose and vacuum head to attach to our filter pump got to be a pain. After two uses, I am more than sold on the POOL BLASTER. It easily and quickly removes the fine dead algae and bits of detritus that occasionally accumulates on our pool bottom (above ground). Great suction and I can easily clean our pool (28-foot diameter) in 15 minutes or less. The only downside is cleaning the filter. It is super-simple to remove, but the filter is stiff material you can't really turn inside-out, therefore it is hard to get it thoroughly cleaned. But as long as it keeps working well and the vacuum holds up, it is well worth the investment!

Don’t buy. If you buy from third party you will have to send to manufacturer and pay to have item shipped if it’s within 1 year. If return window is closed this is your option. It’s going to cost you over $50.00 to send.
