This beehive is perfect for a starter who wants to get into beekeeping or for a beekeeper who just needs one more complete bee house to add to their apiary. It comes in a big box and you must glue and assemble. Which is quite easy and they give you nails. I used titebond 3 to glue up the frames and the boxes. Before gluing anything - do a dry fit and make sure the dovetails fit properly. There was one spot that was very tight, so I used a rasp to file that one dovetail. Besides that everything fit very beautifully. I was impressed with the wood joinery and quality. Very well made beehive. I will definately be a returning costumer. Everything in my kit fit nicely together, I did receive one frame piece that wasn’t finished, but I contacted customer support and they were very quick to get it taken care of. I’m definitely getting another one.

Update from my last post. Yes I had negative review on the frames. Seller contacted me offering a partial refund for our issues. We will see if we get the refund. We still have work to complete on these frames. No honey this year as our bees refused to lay comb on it. Oh well. Thanks Pollibee for great Customer Service. Very nice to have people actually show they care. Definitely worth the money. They need to change their frames. Our bees wanted nothing to do with these frames. We had to melt old beeswax and recoat them. Money was well spent on these hives. Only complaint is the frames and boy there are a lot. ... show more

I ordered two of these hives and they arrived quickly and are very nice quality. Better than I expected based on the price!!. I will be ordering more for sure. One foundation was missing and I contacted their customer service and they shipped out a box of 10 frames AND foundations because they were out of single foundations. Now that’s customer service!! The machining on all these parts is excellent. Very high quality wood and craftsmanship. Kinda sucks that you have to assemble it but at least the parts fit together the way they're supposed to and the necessary hardware is included.
