I just became a beekeeper this year. Never marked a queen before till now. When I got it in comparison to MannLake bee supply store it is a good value! I live 45 mins from the store and this has everything vs going to the store the marker for the color of the years it goes fairly quickly! Only got to use it once thankfully! One cage is nice and tight the other was kinda loose so only used the queen cage that would stop when I stopped pushing it. Pens seem good quality. Cant speak for how long it last haven’t checked for my queen since I marked it.

Luckily, I have an old queen marking cage because this didn't come with any. And the queen catchers had to be bent slightly so they would open enough to catch the queen. I'm hoping the markers work. I'll find out tomorrow when I get into my old hives. I would definitely return this if I had more time before getting new bees for my new hives.
