This bee suit works well. It's a bit too long for my height of 5'2" but I bought a bigger size so it would be loose on my body, and therefore harder for a stinger to stab through. The material is thick and tough. I love the way the screen and hood stay zipped on so no stinging insects can get inside. It has good zippers, nice gloves. I bought it to wear while destroying a yellow jacket nest on my porch. I'm very pleased with this suit.

I recently had a remarkable encounter with a relentless yellow jacket nest that led me to test the boundaries of my bee suit. Armed with determination and my trusty 2x4, I embarked on a mission to remove a massive hive from my property. Amidst the chaos, the bee suit I donned proved to be a game-changer, offering unparalleled protection and ensuring my safety throughout the endeavor. I was removing a massive hive for 30 minutes without a single bite. Durability and Protection: 5/5 From the moment I zipped up the bee suit, I was impressed by its robust construction. The suit held up exceptionally well as I maneuvered around the hive, even with a 2x4 in hand I used to scrape the hive off the bottom of my deck. Notably, not a single bee managed to penetrate the suit's defenses, despite my proximity to their hive and the forceful expulsion of parts of the nest. Hood Design and Accessories: 4.5/5 Wearing a baseball cap under the hood, as suggested by fellow bee warriors, provided an extra layer of protection for my head and face. The hood effectively shielded me from potential stings, although an adjustable tightening mechanism would be a useful addition for a more customized fit. Comfort and Layering: 4/5 Layering proved to be a strategic choice. The thick Carhartt jacket, combined with work jeans, enhanced insulation without compromising mobility. The extra layers, along with duct tape sealing on gloves and ankles, contributed significantly to the suit's effectiveness in keeping the hornets at bay. However, an additional inner lining for added comfort during prolonged use would be appreciated. Ease of Use: 4/5 The bee suit was relatively easy to put on and take off, even under the circumstances of a bee removal operation. The zipper mechanism held up well, and the suit's sizing proved accurate for a comfortable fit over my clothing. In conclusion, the bee suit I used during my yellow jacket nest removal proved itself as a stalwart defender against nature's fierce inhabitants. I can't express enough how good the quality of this product is. The material is very well made, the gloves and not cheap they are of good quality. We used it while taking down quite a large hornets nest over a two day processes. The suite did not disappoint, there was a good feeling of protection while using it.

The suit is well made. Would have gotten 5 stars except the suit runs small for a 3XL. I’m 6’1” 270lbs, the description says it’ll fit 6’3”to 6’8” and there’s no way this will fit a 6’3” person because I could barely get in it. Once in the suit it was very tight in the crotch. Other than that it fit well. I know nothing about bee suits if this is the real deal or not but it served its purpose when I sprayed a hornets nest the size of a large watermelon (at night) the hornets came at me but I don’t know if they tried to sting me or not. FYI the suit is for honey bees not hornets or wasps, their stingers are longer. I think I got lucky. If you’re using for hornets nest removal I recommend do your research and wear a couple layers of clothing under this suit for extra protection

Dawned the bee suit today and headed into the creek to make the yellow jackets mad! A good dose of Sevens dust and zero stings later, I am happy with this product. Then I went into the creek at the neighbors house and did the same to the nest over there. All good. I wouldn't say the bees got a full chance to get aggressive as I was quick to leave the area, but I'm sure a few tried and failed. The material seems thick and sturdy enough. I thoroughly checked every seem and zipper and it looks good. I really like the way the zipper for the hood has an extra flap of protection. I have lived here 9 years and never had a problem before. Glad I have protection for the future issues.

Easy to unpack and put on by yourself. Head area is suported by strong wire and keeps your head away from the material. Elastic bands on legs make it hornet tight. Goatskin gloves were soft leather and made well with elastic bands on the end of the arms. Hood breaks down flat where whole unit fits back easily into the shipping box. I felt very safe as I approached the ground hornets nest. I followed instructions on the internet and it solved the problem.

First of all, you all should know, I am NOT a beekeeper. However, I live in San Antonio and have green space behind my home. I needed to go back there to chop down weeds that were invading my yard. The first time I went back there, I got stung by angry hornets because I stepped on their nest. I decided to get this suit to protect me against any stingers and creepy crawlies I found back there. It worked great. The cloth is heavy, it is zippered with Velcro, the gloves are super soft, the head piece is already attached, but can be zipped off if needed. And, THE PRICE IS GREAT! Just what I needed. Came fast too.

Great bee suit. Weird that it came stickered as a “Christmas costume” on the box. But it did work great. I put on some heavy clothes underneath and wore a ball cap to keep the hood extended away from my face. I was right in a Yellowjacket nest and got no stings.
