Almost perfect in my opinion… The good… Durable - I move around a lot for work and the neck hasn’t bent, paint hasn’t chipped, it still looks brand new almost a year later. Heats quickly - I haven’t timed it, but full from room temp to near boil (92C) takes only a few minutes. Usually it is ready before I’ve weighed out and ground my beans. Easy to use - It resets after being unplugged, but it takes mere seconds to convert to metric and set my heating temperature when I hook it up. No issues with cleaning or rust, I only use filtered water and leave water in it constantly but I’ve never had to do more than wipe it clean. The minor negatives… When pouring and setting the kettle back on its base it jumps up a few degrees initially. The cord is thick, durable, and only about two and a half feet long. It’s fine, but if you like tucking your cords or have an oddly placed outlet you don’t have as much flexibility as I might like. All in all I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality kettle to use everyday that doesn’t cost too much compared to the other nice options out there. I’ll buy the same one if I ever wear this one out ... show more

This product is BEAUTIFUL and EASY to use. In spite of the super zany, poorly translated directions, it's a cinch to set up. Proud to have this gorgeous piece on my kitchen counter. I chose the gray with the dark wood handle, and I'm delighted with the look. It has a nifty keep warm feature that will keep water at 99 degrees for up to two hours. It boils water in a flash! I couldn't believe how fast it was the first time. Plus it does not have that annoying plastic filter at the spout that others kettles have that invariably breaks after a few years. This thing looks solidly made. I look forward to a long relationship with it. ... show more

    • I hardly ever use the "boil" function

The only flaws I can see with this product after using it for about a month are: 1. The cord is kinda short, so if you're planning on using it on a coffee bar make sure you check where the outlet is. I had to use extension cord. 2. The boil function heats up the water just as fast as the "keep warm" function, except when it's done boiling the kettle won't hold the temperature there unless you tell it to. I forget that I hit "boil" all the time because I'm forgetful and by the time I remember, I have to reheat the water all over again! I just started using the "keep warm" function exclusively. 3. My husband and I have to fill it up around 2 or 3 timea a day, which is kind of annoying, but we drink tea and coffee like 4-6 cups between us daily so take that with a grain of salt. But, all in all, very small complaints for a great product. Would recommend. ... show more

This is my third kettle in two year’s the previous ones were a COSORI and a Bonsenkitchen each one lasted about a year and then just quit heating water. So far I like the looks of the Poliviar it functions as advertised with the minor exception of the temperature control that is a few degrees off. I will try and remember to write an addendum to this review in a year assuming the kettle is still working. ... show more

    • Baffled, rust almost immediately. (update)

Within 1 month, in a dry climate, rust spots started to develop inside the kettle. Everything else is great, but that is a dealbreaker. FTR, I emptied out water almost every night, except for a few. In contrast I had a cheaper $30 kettle did not start to develop rust until years in and I kept water in it all the time. UPDATE: The company has stepped up and replaced the defective item. I appreciate how well they handled this issue and love the product otherwise. My hope is this new unit will not rust. I will update this post if it does, otherwise consider this solved, and my issue a one off. (Star rating changed to 4). ... show more

I like this pot but the paint is already chipping off the controls. We won't be able to read the buttons if this continues. I am updating my review to a 4star for excellent customer service. The company reached out and sent us a new unit. We really like the tea pot and easy pour spout so we are hoping this one will last much longer. ... show more
