This is the fourth electric kettle I have tried in the US. I had one in Europe and which it was 120 becasue it was difficult to leave that one behind. It worked perfectly for 6 years that I had it. Anyway, this is Swiss and works better than the three others I tried. It does not leak. It heats water quickly. It is attractive. No plastic touches the water so no plastic taste. Others have mentioned the lid latch as problematic. I don't find that to be true for me. I have no problem opening and closing the lid. You do need a bottle cleaner to clean it as the lid opening is a bit tight for sponge cleaning. So, fingers crossed, this keeps working well. ... show more

    • Looks AND Works Great!
I admit that I bought this first and foremost because the blue light in the clear glass reminded me of a JetBlue airport lounge - cool & clean... Probably not the best reason to buy an electric kettle. But, I'm happy to report that not only does it look as cool and clean as the promo pix, it also works beautifully so far (spacey music vibes not included). Very quick boil, only a couple of minutes for ~.5L. Because it's clear, I can shut it off before it boils if I'm making a more delicate tea, or let it get to rolling, which I couldn't do with my last kettle, which was opaque. I wish it shut off completely once it's been removed from the base - you have to flip the switch back up manually. I also wish the switch was integrated into the base unit or the handle. I'm hard on stuff, and I'll probably accidentally break that little tab switch at some point, but that's future me's problem! ... show more

Ot is a very nice, Swiss made , no plastic tea kettle, It is 1.7 L capacity. The nice thing about it is that cord can be hidden under the bottom element, so you could adjust the cord lengths. Over the years I went through so many electric kettles and none of them had a way to adjust the cord. I would recommend and will buy again. ... show more

    • Just so convenient
It cost the same as a tea pot would so I thought why not... I do not leave reviews often. I find they don't ever give you a clear view of what your buying. Just a bunch of opposing opinions... But I just gotta say. It's just very convenient and I'm happy I bought one.

    • This kettle worked great for us
I used it for about a year and it would have kept lasting for us. The latch to open and close it would get stuck often, but this was after heavy daily use for over 6mo. Nothing else ever went wrong with it. I wish it had a chime when it was boiling, but the little lever popping was loud enough if you were close. The light turning off was a good indicator too, but I wish there was a temperature gauge or control. We just had to consolidate to move and this never made it onto the truck which is super sad! Works great but the top button to open the lid is tricky and it can be hard to open even after pushing several times

    • Looks expensive
I like this electric kettle, it does the job. Compared to my previous one, the base on this one looks a bit cheap, but the kettle itself feels very sturdy. 1 month in and no complaints. Will update if I run into any issues.

    • This is a great electric kettle
We bought one over a year ago and it's still working after heavy use. Loved it so much we bought a second one for travel. The kettle lights are really pretty and it's easy to clean.
