  • Fantastic sound at a budget price
Color: Black
After a battery in one of my more expensive gaming earbuds died (just after its warranty expired lol!), I decided enough with overspending on something that will inevitably stop working, and bought the G1s based on all the excellent reviews. The sound quality has far surpassed my expectations! Battery life is great too, and the the touch controls are relatively simple and straightforward. I'm amazed that something this reasonably priced can sound this good. Very happy with this purchase - I wasn't aware of the Tozo brand before, but I certainly will be paying attention from now on. ... show more

  • An easy buy. Surprisingly great. Mostly "ups" a few "downs"
Color: Space Gray
So nice, I bought them twice. One pair dedicated to my phone, one pair dedicated to my PlayStation. I'm lazy and didn't feel like turning off and on my Bluetooth settings on either and these are inexpensive enough that I just bought 2 pairs. In all honesty, they do pretty much everything well. The sound quality is decent. Good even. Hardcore audiophiles might disagree, but hardcore audiophiles are among the worst of us nerds, so who cares? From there, they connect SUPER quickly, and seem to have pretty decent range, while pushing through objects. At range with obstacles they'll cut out a little, but that's going to be true of all Bluetooth devices. Battery life: its pretty decent - in regular mode, you get 5 or 6 hours. In gaming mode, there are extra LEDs (which I *love*) and sap the battery a bit faster - you get 4.5 to 5 hours. But the headphones charge up REALLY quickly, so it works out well - and if you sit through 5 hours of gaming, and they die, it's a cue to get up and stretch, hydrate, get some food. The case charge is a little fiddly because it has a huge "middle" range - from 20% to 70% will be its middle/orange range. The case gives you about 4(+) extra charges before it needs a charge itself. Pretty standard. Another odd thing that doesn't take anything away is that the buds go into the case vertically, and have a triangular-ish profile, so you have to get them lined up right. You get used to it quickly, or at least I did. They're also a little bit smooth, so that can take a moment to get used to, as well. From there, the touch controls are nice. Took a moment to learn the inputs and the area to touch, but they work well, aren't too sensitive, and do everything. They play/pause, they forward/reverse, and holding will increase/decrease the volume! The longer you hold the more it will increase/decrease. And finally, the big, big thing that I bought them for was for the Low Latency Mode. And... It works! It works well enough for my lizard brain, I don't see or feel any lag. Watching videos with one of the pairs on my phone, there'd be a half second lag - you would see the word on a person's lips, and half a second later, you'd hear it. But turn on low latency and they're synched back up! Then the other pair with my PlayStation, its the same thing - once the low latency is on, every sound is lined up with what caused said sound. It works well, and gives you better sound immersion because as I turn around in a game world, different sound sources would shift, and not just left and right. It would literally sound like things were "behind" me and I could "feel" the shift from right, to the back, and then into the left. I wasn't expecting that. There are so few "downfalls" to these versus the price that, overall, they earn a 5 from me. And seeing as they're less than 30 bucks? Well, I'd spent more than double that much on one set, hated them, sent them back and used the refund to buy 2 of these. An easy buy. ... show more

  • Great buds *for the money*, especially for gamers
Color: Black
07/03/2023 UPDATE: I still think it is tough to beat these buds at this price point. However, having spent a little more time with them I did want to share further insight: * I have only tested them with one (less than 2 year old flagship) phone, but the sound quality for the other party is unacceptable using these. I literally have to swap over to handset or speakerphone mode. I have not had similar problems with any other bluetooth product and this phone (including multiple other Tozo products). * These only have a bit more exaggerated bass response than the NC2. The difference in overall sound quality means you should not choose these over the NC2 for the bass, the only reason to go with the G1 is price or gaming latency (again, I did not really test latency). If latency is really important to you, these might be a good choice (but I assume there are better ones). In other cases, unless the extra 10-20 bucks is genuinely too much of a stretch for you, my recommendation is the NC2. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: I do not do a ton of gaming on modern consoles, so most of the latency issues I have are with watching videos. Usually this is negligible or at least tolerable, though occasionally it is bad enough I can't stand watching any longer. The difference I've noted thus far in gaming mode was fairly minimal with watching videos (have not tested w gaming). I do recommend Tozo earbuds, and this would be a good set depending on your needs. If you use earbuds for a lot of gaming (or watching videos in lower-noise environments), then the G1 is probably for you. This is especially true if you like the the green LED look. It's unclear how this affects battery life - if there's a significant impact I would not waste the energy for videos alone. If your needs are more mixed-use, especially if you are frequently using earbuds in environments with constant mid-level noise, I prefer the NC2 for only ten bucks more. The active noise cancellation on those is great for public transit etc. I would call sound quality comparable, leaning slightly in favor of the NC2. The G1 seems to try for heavier bass that will be difficult to reproduce with any device that fits in your ear, but the overall audio quality seems slightly diminished. Still, the quality is better than a name-brand set I have that was nearly double the price. ... show more

  • Amazing for the price
Color: Black
I lose one earbud way too often to justify paying more than about 30-40$ for earbuds. I was randomly bought these based on having a low price and great reviews, plus I really like how they look. They are comfortable and have good sound quality. I can't tell the difference in audio quality between these and something in the sub 70$ range. Many earbuds have caused me issues by skipping to the next YouTube video because I readjusted it in my ear. Finger touched the top and activated it, but that hasn't really happened with these. My only issue is they come be a little easier to pair out of the box. Kept trying to pair just one and had to end up paring both and then it lets me use them one at a time I will definitely buy again when I lose one in a few months. Will update review if I have issues with battery life but so far so good ... show more
