The rotation function of this pizza oven is a nice touch. I've used it twice so far, and the results have been consistently great pizza. The pizza turns out delicious with crispy crusts like a restaurant wood-fired oven. I found using a flame gun to ignite the pellets is helpful. Also, add pellets while cooking to keep the temperature constant. Keeping the door closed except when rotating the pizza helps maintain the temperature for the perfect cook. Great oven at a great price!

I bought this pizza oven for my husband's birthday and it came packaged very sturdy and secure. The actual pizza oven took an hour to build between my two teen sons. Creating a pizza with a pizza oven has a big learning curve to it. We used YouTube videos and reviews online to help start the wood fire and keep the fire on while bringing up the temperature of the Pizza Oven. I gave it 4 stars because of the difficulty of making a pizza and keeping the heat distributed in the oven. Overall it did make pizzas, not how I would like it, but again there is a learning curve between heating the oven and a thin crust pizza to bring from recipe to final creation. Blessings, J

My oven never went hotter than 350 degrees and the temperature started dropping immediately. I tried to cook the pizza anyway and the rotating lever broke and I couldn’t turn the pizza. It ended up in the back of the oven where I couldn’t retrieve it and caught on fire. It was a disaster

Since there has been only one review written prior to this one, I thought I'd give you an additional set of observations based on assembly. First off, I went into this with interest but skepticism. I have another pizza oven designed specifically to use with a two burner Camp Chef. It has been fairly well regarded, but it has it's quirks and limitations--still it can produce an amazing pizza. I obtained the Magic Flame oven primarily because I wanted something now dependent on either propane (like my Camp Chef Artisan) or electricity (like my home ovens). The Magic Flame says it is suitable for either pellets or charcoal. Having experience with survival twig stoves, I am sure it will burn smaller pieces of wood as well, but it might become tedious tending it. I plan on using pellets, as I have an abundant supple for my smoker. I was expecting to the oven would be of pretty thin metal, roughly stamped out. That was the wrong expectation. In reality, it uses medium to downright thick sheet and bar stainless steel for the oven components. I note the legs easily attract a magnet, so probably no stainless there. Assembly is quite easy, requiring nothing more than a good philips screwdriver and a crescent or other wrench--neither of which re provided. I expect nearly everyone planning on using this stove already has those necessary tool (you could even use a Swiss Arm Knife or Leatherman as the screw heads are all highly accessible). Assembly will probably take you 20 to 40 minutes, the longer time if you are obsessive like me and add your own washers under screw heads. So, seeing how this things works, up close-but not yet firing it up. I'm very impressed with this oven, it is not very large-a 12 inch pizza is the limit--but when you can bake a pizza in well under 5 minutes, the possibility of doing 2-3 back to back does strike me as creating any significant delay in presenting the meal. Finally, the platter rotation system is simple but sturdy. It is an interesting idea, being able to keep the door closed (and thus, the heat in) by being able to rotate the pizza by means of a geared turntable. I will definitely follow this up with an in-use report--but that may be a few weeks, given the intermittent rain's in my area. The bottom line for now, is that this appears to be very well designed, and constructed. I looks to have a meaningful innovation with inclusion of the turntable. It is capable of using wood based fuel sources, will be easy to add fuel as required, and should be very easy to clean (just pull out the small bin, remove the grate, empty and reverse the two steps. It is made of materials that should have a long service life, and look good along the way. More after I have the opportunity to fire it up.

I already had a pizza oven and when I saw this one, at this price, I had to get it. This Magic Flame pizza oven has features my other one does not have and that is another reason I got this one. I really like that it has a thermometer. That way I don't need to keep opening the door to gage the temperature and let all the heat out. The other feature is the turntable. This is the first pizza oven I have seen that has this feature. This saves a lot of time and risk of burning my hands. The Magic Flame pizza oven is a lot less expensive that the other pizza ovens I have seen. Some of the more expensive ones will run close to $1,000 and will give you the same quality pizza this one will give you. And yes, you will have a great tasting pizza in about 3 minutes. This oven is very easy to put together and very easy to use. The pellet tray is easy to fill and is big enough so it is easy to light the pellets. It even comes with a pellet scoop. One thing I would suggest is to buy a wooden pizza peel. The pizza dough has a tendency to stick to the metal peels and makes it very difficult to put the pizza in the oven without making a mess. If you love pizza like I do are tired of the chain pizza places and paying high prices for bad pizza, then you need to get get this wood burning pizza oven. It will save you a lot of money and your taste buds.

This took me about 30 minutes to put it together. When I reviewed the parts list it states that there is 15 screws, I found 1 loose and heard 1 in the oven got it out and saw that all the others where in their slots, so easy take it out attach what needed to be there. The handle as shown in the picture has these small screws holding it in place, just don’t know if I would trust carrying the oven with this, but was solid and I was able to carry it with no problems. I was hoping to use wood in the box but it is small and more adapted to the use of pellets. Overall nice solid oven and look forward to make your own pizza night.
