I purchased this mini metal detector to scan his pants before I throw them in to wash This little gadget has saved me money and aggravation. Lightweight, Compact and easy to use and accurate. I traded a pair of binoculars for a metal detector and I bought this handheld detector as an accessory... It was a great decision the 9-volt battery has lasted for months with no problem the bright color green is easy to find and scratch resistant I also like the little snap-on belt holster to keep my hands-free... The audio beeper is plenty loud and easy to determine and the digital readout is a great bonus and pretty easy to read if the sun's not directly on it

Waterproofing is a key feature of pinpointer metal detectors since it allows users to search for metals underwater and keeps moisture out of the gadget. As a large metal detector is fairly bulky and might not be suited for everyone to use, I thought that one of the gadgets would be helpful to have while arranging a beach excursion. Pin pointers, which are compact, handheld metal detectors, include a tiny search coil that, when in contact with a metal object, creates an electromagnetic signal. When the pin pointer collides with a metal object, a broadcast from the signal informs you of the metal's presence. With an IP68 rating, this pin pointer can endure continuous submersion in water without losing function. It is ideal for usage in deep water as well as on the sand. This device has a backlit LCD screen that shows the battery life and signal strength. It is simple to locate something buried underground since the signal becomes stronger the closer you are to a target. This little metal detector operates in three different ways: by vibration, by audio, or by combining the two. There are also three different levels of sensitivity. Given that both children and adults can use it with ease, this is the ideal tool for a family treasure hunt. It is beautifully made, portable, small in size, reasonably priced, and essential for my beach trip.

I’m new to metal detecting. I’ve wanted a metal detector for 50 years. I’m on a limited income so I needed to get into detecting on a budget. I was able to pick up a used detector for just $35. After watching many many YouTube videos on metal detecting I realized I needed a Pinpointer. I watched YouTube reviews and read Amazon Reviews and decided on this Generic Chinese Pointer a copy of the Garrett Carrot 🥕 I honestly do not know how to pronounce the name PudiBe, seems to be a silly name. It will either beep or vibrate depending on your selection. The closer you get to a detectable piece of metal the faster the beeps or vibrations are. When it is on there is a small bright white LED that is supposed to be for helping you find items in a dark hole. During the day most people believe this is a battery drainer and kind of useless, it’s not that bright. Unless you are detecting at night this is not very useful feature. It came with the Pinpointer, a starter generic Chinese 9V battery, a coiled springy wrist lanyard, a belt holster & instructions. It’s so easy to use my grandson who just turned 7 figured it out right out of the box. When I’m detecting and he’s with me I use the large detector then he goes in with the pointer to pinpoint the final location. He was very surprised that it detected the metal plates & screws holding 4 levels of my lower spine together. They’re Stainless Steel. I can’t speak for it being waterproof. I haven’t tried it and don’t generally detect near water. From online reviews of most similar pinpointers they tend to leak around the switch and the speaker. Some people found adding some additional silicone sealant around those two areas can help protect it. I also can’t speak for its long term reliability since I’ve only owned it 2 weeks. I will update if there are any issues. I can say that paying $19-26 depending on the sale price you can buy 2 and have a Spare for less than 1/2 price of the general $119-135 of a mainstream manufacturer like Garrett, Fisher, Minelab & others. From my initial experience I would definitely buy this model Pinpointer again.

Instructions are poor and it came with a dead battery. Haven’t used it in water so I can’t comment. But, I would not fully submerge it as I don’t trust the battery cap without an O ring. This is a pinpoint device so don’t expect it to find a gold ring below 3 in of dirt. The vibration works fine but the tone is too high for my old ears.
