We decided "Hey, might as well get into the Pickleball scene" recently, but didn't want to spend a fortune just incase we were not impressed. Well, it was super fun and now we are hooked. That being said, The MTEN set is a great way to get into the game without breaking the bank. When you can get 2 paddles, 4 balls, 2 over grips, and a carrying case for lower than the price of 1 paddle, I say, "go for it"! The paddles play great for their price point, but obviously not as great as a high end paddle. The sweet spot is not very large, but when you hit it, you can feel and hear it. If you are off slightly the ball does not travel far. They are light enough to not have much strain while playing, but heavy enough to still create power and not feel cheap. The grips are nice, but adding the over grip made a world of difference for me. It made the grip a little bigger but felt softer as well. The balls are not the best. I used them to see how they were, but purchased different ones right away. They are hard so they come off the paddle with a lot of force. If you aren't careful, they are very easy to hit out of bounds long. Do yourself a favor and get different balls but keep these as backups. The case is a nice edition to keep everything together. We like to ride our bikes to the courts, so the case makes it easy to strap to my back for easy transportation. Even if you aren't needing to carry these around, it serves as a nice storage case. The MTEN paddles are a great starter kit to get you into the game of Pickleball. I wish there were more paddle designs, but I guess it makes sense to keep costs down. If you want to get into the game, go with these and you won't regret your decision. ... show more

If you are jumping on the train and getting into pickleball, this will get you going without a doubt. I wasn't sure what I was going to get and just wanted a starter set. This is perfect. I've played a bit of pickleball, and got this so I have something to give new players who join me (meaning, friends who never played before and have nothing). This fit the bill perfectly with two decent paddles and 4 balls along with a case. The case holds everything, but to give credit here, I was expecting a lot of plastic as this is a basic set, and was pleasantly surprised that the handle was more like leather and is a very comfortable grip (see photo). I'm probably going to order another one a gift for Christmas as I'm pretty pleased with this one. ... show more

I've used a couple other paddle brands, and I like these MTEN's best. They're light, comfortable, and it feels easy to control the ball. I like that they came with a nice case and four outdoor balls. The included grip tape is a nice bonus, although I haven't used it yet because the handles already feel good to me. The price is excellent for what you get. My kids both prefer the Mten paddles over the much more expensive SLK pair that we also have. The bag is handy, but fairly tight for the two paddles and balls. We are not experts, but now with the Mten set we can play doubles instead of having to sit on the sidelines waiting for a singles game to end. I have been using this set for 30 days now and indeed I have seen improvement. Great paddles for beginners and advanced. I love the feel and the light weight of the paddle. My family has played with nice sets and budget sets - this one plays like a nice set for budget prices! I love the lightweight paddles and the grips. The face of the paddles has texture to it and can spin the ball really well. The grip is comfortable as well. Paddles were very lightweight and easy to hold and maneuver. We are beginning players and lost to my daughter and her boyfriend, but we got some AWESOME shots in on them!
