This pickleball paddle is good for casual players. It isn't actually USAP or UPA approved, but that shouldn't be an issue if you aren't competing in tournaments. The grit is just average. The swing weight, twist weight, and static weight are average as well. I think most would find adding perimeter weighting helps. This paddle hits hard, probably close to the banned Joola Mod15. The color is cute. It has a nice gradient. The bag is nice, but it doesn't match the paddle at all since it's blue. The handle is comfortable, but you will replace the grip after a while. Durability is not the greatest because it is honeycomb. Mine core crushed extremely quick. Honeycomb paddles do break easily. I believe Slamopus has a foam paddle now which should be more durable. The reason why I gave this product 5 stars despite some shortcomings is because their support is fantastic. I let them know about the issues I experienced and they helped me out. ... show more

I played with this paddle for about a month and it’s honestly a great pickleball paddle. It is very poppy, absorbs a lot of energy from fast paced shots, has decent spin, and I think the weight and balance are excellent. I saw another reviewer claim the balance was bad but that’s entirely a personal opinion. The balance on this paddle is more towards the center of the paddle, not top heavy, not heavy on the handle, it feels like most of the weight is right on top of your fist. Weighing 8 ounces, when you swing it, it is very light and fast in your hands. Very happy with the paddle, my reaction times have improved because I struggle less to get the paddle where it needs to go. Love my Athena 2! ... show more

I got this to start playing pickleball this last season. So far they have been great and just fine to play with. I am no pro to suggest on the nuances but for regular player , the paddles seem good quality with a good grip and doesn't show any wear after having play many times. I've been playing with these paddles for about a week and honestly they are the worst paddles I've ever played with. they are flimsy, you can feel the vibration through the paddle when you connect, they have no power at all. they ideal connect surface is smaller then it is on my wooden ones, I'm a beginning player and I will not be able to get any better playing with these, I'm already trying to figure out how to upgrade. keep in mind buyers beware, you get what you pay for ... show more

Was comparing and looking for light paddles that weren't wooden. This seemed to be one of the lightest and had a great bang for the buck..the quality seems on par with many of the other paddles I've tried and you get two for the price of 1 of many of the others (plus extras!). My daughter uses the bag to take to practice and the extra grips and balls will be nice to have on hand if needed. She's gotten comments on the nice pattern as well ... show more
