This is the perfect light for musicians. It has 3 settings for different types of light. The light is very broad so it is distributed over the whole page of the music book, even the largest ones. My grandson is learning the piano and we need to have a lamp so he could see the notes and print on the books he and his teacher are using. We saw this one and the overall good reviews and we ordered it. It was very reasonably priced. When we received we assembled it, which was very easy. We were surprised at the great design. The neck is very flexible so we could position the light exactly as we wanted it. The lamp has 3 types of light to choose from. Brighter to more of a bluish hue. My grandson picked the type he liked. The lamp has an adjustment switch to make the illumination stronger to more subtle. The base is heavy so we have had no issue with it tilting.
