Just plug it into your RCA ports, power it with the included USB C cable, and connect your phone to the C36 Bluetooth device. No latency or noise, just clean crisp music. Range - I've connected to it at least 30-40' away and through walls without any issue. The device also accepts USB memory sticks that you can fill with thousands of songs and play through the device. I don't know what people are talking about, but this thing is not lacking in volume. I have it hooked it to my Marantz stereo receiver as an amplifier and connected to my laptop as an audio source. With the volume on my laptop turned about about 3/4 of the way, there is PLENTY of volume - so much so that I can hear it outside the house across an acre of land. Don't tell me that it's too low. It connects simply enough and has excellent audio quality. I can't speak for it's range, because my laptop is twenty feet away from it, but I'm not sure how far away from it you really expect to be when presumably, you'd want to be in the same room as the amplifier you're feeding. I picked up the KAIY Bluetooth 5.4 Receiver to breathe some modern wireless life into my older home stereo setup. I specifically needed something with reliable connectivity and low latency to handle high-definition streaming without noticeable lag. Overall, it works quite well, though it has one minor quirk you should keep in mind. 🎛️ Setup & ConnectivityThe Bluetooth 5.4 chip is a massive plus. Pairing it with my phone and tablet was nearly instant, and the signal remains rock-solid without any dropouts or stuttering, even when walking into the next room. Having multiple output choices like Optical and RCA made it incredibly straightforward to hook straight into my vintage amplifier receiver. 🎵 Audio Quality & The Volume QuirkAt normal to moderately high listening levels, the music audio sounds excellent. The high-definition sound is crisp, clean, and has a great dynamic range. However, I did notice that if I max out the volume output directly on my streaming device (like my smartphone), the sound begins to distort a bit through the speakers. The Fix: To get pristine audio without that clipping distortion, I found it is best to keep your phone or Bluetooth source volume set at around 80% to 85%, and then use your home stereo receiver's physical volume knob to push the sound louder. Doing this keeps the audio perfectly clean! 📝 Final Verdict This is an affordable, highly functional upgrade for any classic home stereo system.     • Not as Advertised
Unfortunately this receiver was not very good. My first issue with it is that it does not maintain a constant connection, so if my computer has a notification it will not even be audible. It does a slight popping sound like it connected to my speakers, but takes too long to connect for it to have the notification audible. This is very unfortunate since it has constant power. I had a very old received that went into standby mode after some time, but even that one did a better job. Another issue is that this is listed as Bluetooth 5.4, but in reality I cannot connect multiple devices to it at once. It can only connect to one, which I did not want as i have at least two or 3 devices using the same receiver that I switch between. Bluetooth 5.0 and newer versions allow multiple devices to connect at once, so I would say this is false advertising. If you need it for just playing music without short pauses it will work for you, but it has a lot of short comings in all other areas. ... show more

This Bluetooth receiver is a very nice addition to my kenwood 7r 7400 receiver. It is easy to connect both to the receiver and via Bluetooth. The range on the Bluetooth is great for my needs I can be across the house on the first floor and it still connects to the Bluetooth seamlessly. I do not hear any hiss or buzz out of the speakers while using this device and the sound quality is higher than my old amp can reproduce in its playback, but the sound quality is better than my turn table or my CD player components I currently have connected. It is simple to use and the directions are clear in the manual. It includes all the necessary cables for it to connect to almost any equipment, however it does not come with an RCA to RCA cable or a power block. If you're looking for a well functioning Bluetooth apable option for legacy audio equipment look no further. At this price you could not do any better. ... show more
