Respectful of the scalp. Two precious oils: Monoi and Jojoba. To restore and nourish the hair fiber during the coloration process. A unique blend of botanical pigments from five tinctorial plants: Alder Buckthorn, Madder Root, Plains Coreopsis, Dryer's Broom and Logwood. Color is intense with incomparable natural brilliance. 100% botanical core. Ammonia-free. PPD-free. Resorcin-free. Easy to use and 100% Permanent. One kit typically contains enough product to color shoulder-length hair. Read product instructions prior to use. We recommend a color patch prior to coloring. I first found this dye when traveling abroad and was so happy to see that it finally came to the states. It’s one of the few I’ve tried that makes the hair so soft, silky, shiny and luxurious while covering all my stiff and resistant greys. The formula is really creamy and thick, making it easy to apply and massage around even to the back of the head without any dripping. I’m able to do some light chores while waiting and love that it develops in only 30 minutes. They’re also really generous with the after-care mask, not some small packet. I love everything about it! Only con is that the coloring system is confusing. I am Chinese and use Light Brown and it’s the perfect shade between a super deep brown/very soft black that makes the hair look totally natural. Tried Medium Brown before and it was a little too black. Hope this product never gets discontinued! ... show more

This is a gentle formula and the scent is fairly mild. I have a sensitive scalp and I am also very sensitive to fragrances. This is not completely unscented, but for a person who typically hates fragrances, the scent does not really bother me. My scalp is not at all irritated which is amazing. My roots are typically color level 4 but I followed the advice of many of the reviews here and I got a level 5. Absolutely perfect! My grays are entirely covered. I'm not intensely gray at this point though, with only about 25% of my roots growing in gray. The results are beautiful and very natural! My advice would be to go UP at least 1 level from the color that you need. Overall, I highly recommend this product and it is now my all time favorite. The product was clumpy and did not dissolve well when mixed. When applied, it didn’t spread well The cream conditioner was hard. Perhaps it was an old product. Would not buy again I have short hair and not enough product

Based on another review mixed the light blond and light brown color together. Didn't find it too dark, color was great although it tends to be warm (golden) so brings out reddish highlights. If you don't want a redish tone I'd suggest another formulation. Application was easy and good grey coverage. Color seems to be lasting well. This hair dye has been great! I’ve used it twice for gray coverage and the color deposits very well into hair & holds up well through washing. The suggested colors are also quite accurate to the pictures provided. This has been a life saver for not needing to go to the salon as frequently.
