I bought this to replace my old car phone holder which I loved and which apparently just isn't available anymore (I lent my car to someone, when I got it back the holder was broken, in pieces, not sure what happened?). Installing this one is a little more complicated (I did the dashmount with the extra surface piece applied first, which has to sit for 24 hours, and then the phone holder base is fixed to that - rather than directly to the dashboard). So far it is secure, holding the phone well, and I'm getting used to having to push the button on the back to release the phone (the old one my phone slid down into and just pulled out - really wish they still made those!). ... show more

... except for the vent attachment. I tried hooking it to my car vents, and the whole vent just turned downward. It was easy to install, though? I think it's just my car. Anyway, the stick on attachment is great. Worth noting: The rest for the bottom of the phone is centered and rather wide. So it muggy get in the way of an aux cord (mine does). Thankfully, the side grips hold on so tight (even with my popsocket and case on) that you can easily just not rest it in the bottom. And it releases easy, too. ... show more

    • Works great attached to the air vent. Makes navigating while driving safer.
I installed the product with very little hassle, clipping it to the air vent, so I can't speak to the suction power and ease of setup for the other install method. Attached to the vent, there is very little wiggle, and it's easily adjustable in terms of angle. Just play with the hardware, loosen and tighten as needed to face your phone in the desired direction. The phone cradle does indeed seem to be one-size-fits all, as my phone is in a bulky case, and there was room to spare. You place your phone in the cradle and adjust the retention arms until it's snug. No slippage at all so far. There's also a little cutout so that you can easily charge your device while it's in the cradle. This product makes navigating while driving a lot safer and easier and I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more

You can tighten it enough and still turn the holder to adjust for sunlight and glare. Use it daily to and from work since I use Waze instead of a GPS.

Works great! I have it on my dash and love it! Holds my phone very well and I dont have to worry abiut it falling off or out. Only thing is, idk if I can reuse the sticky pad that sticks to the dash board.
