UPDATE: After my last review, I've install 8 new batteries. This time I went with Duracell and so far so good. It has been about two weeks with normal usage and the batteries still full. I will closely monitor the batteries to see how long it'll last. I'm still uncertain what happen with the first set of batteries, it was brand new Energizer. Some hypostasis is the initial installation might of had a high drainage or the new batteries was defected or past the their shelf life. Nonetheless, I bump this up from a 2 star to 4. I need to give it a bit more time before I can surely say it's a 5! I've bought this lock because it used 8 batteries. I was hoping that it would last longer than my previous smart lock which only take 4. The installation and set up was a breeze. I did't have to modify anything on the door. I didnt have any issue connecting to Bluetooth or the wifi. The only thing I wish that it had a programmable key so all of our lock would be the same. Now almost a week had pass and the lock died. I thought it wasn't connecting to my wifi since the app said it wasn't connected. After a few min of trouble shooting, I realize all 8 batteries died. Not sure if theres a circuit short in there somewhere but this is really odd for something to drain batteries this quickly. I am going to give it another shot and try some new batteries. Will return it if the new dies in the same amount of time.

No idea how well it works as a lock but right away it takes *8* AA batteries, seriously? Then there's the setup process which involves pressing a reset button for 5 seconds until the blue light comes on....except there's no blue light, in fact there's no light at all. Pressed for 5 seconds, pressed for 10 seconds, pressed for 15 seconds, there's no light to indicate you're doing it right to it's just guessing. Finally, and worst, the app refused to connect via bluetooth after 10 tries, just a the circle of death on the phone app for a minute and then "Failure To Connect" message every time. This is a big fat pile of nope, I mean when you can't even get past the connect portion of the process the rest of the operation doesn't give me confidence. Sending back, Ill try something else.
