The Norelco Philips Hair Clipper 7000 Series has been a great addition to my grooming routine. I have been using it both for cutting my hair and manscaping below the neck. I love that it offers 28 length settings all on a simple dial so I can fine-tune the cut without needing a drawer full of attachments. It includes two adjustable combs for hair, a stubble comb for shorter trimming, and even lets you go down to 0.5mm if you remove the comb. The power sensor is an interesting feature as it adjusts the motor automatically depending on hair thickness, allowing it to maintain a smooth steady trim regardless of how thick your hair is. The design helps keep hair from clogging up the comb, making the experience smoother overall. Another highlight is the convenience factor. The blades have stayed sharp, and it doesn’t need any oiling, just a rinse after use, which is a big plus, though I'll have to see how it holds up years from now. Battery life has been solid too, with at least an hour if not more of runtime on a single charge, which has been plenty for my needs especially when I'm cutting my hair.     • Proper clippers that should travel well
A couple of years ago I had to replace an old, excellent Wahl clipper. I bought that same brand and have been very disappointed with the newer version. I've actually bought 2 different Wahl clippers and when I try to use either with no attachment to shave parts of my neck or trim the edges of my mustache I risk cuts because the blades on the newer ones are so bad. No such problem with this Norelco clipper. The blades are properly sharp so they don't pinch or grab you or cut you but just cut the intended hair or beard and leave you uninjured (this should be a minimal expectation of course but apparently it's asking too much). The way the dial works in conjunction with the attachments means you have many different settings with only 2 adjustable attachments, and a third one for very short work. Most clippers require 10-15 attachments to provide this kind of flexibility. Additionally, the charger works everything from 110-240 V so it should do well when you travel to other countries. The included pouch makes it fairly easy to pack as well. Finally, it claims it needs no oiling. Just clean with water. I admit this last part gives me some concern for its length of life so we'll see how that goes but so far so good. All in all the price ($45 at this time) seems about right for all it offers. I'm sure at least $10 of that price is for the Norelco brand name about which I have no feelings one way or the other, but the product itself seems well thought out. If it holds up over time it will be great. If not, I'll be back to change this review. ... show more

2 trimmer guard, but able to provide 28 different settings with the dials. good replacement that I no longer need to keep full drawer for the different size of trimmer guard. wish it has tapper guard though also it use its own proprietary charger, it's not ideal as I now need to keep an adapter around. took 1 star off because of this. ... show more

    • Best cordless trimmer I've tried
I've been using an oster 76 for as long as I can remember. The cord is quite annoying it doesn't travel well. I have tried cordless trimmers over the years, but they never seem to have enough power to get the job done. My hair is very thick and they all struggled at best. No such problem here. Obviously it isn't as powerful as the oster, but it cuts cleanly and without getting bogged down like many others. The built in guide comb solution is fantastic and helps the trimmer travel well. The battery lasts for multiple cuts so you can probably just throw the charged up unit in your bag and not worry about anything else. The only annoying thing is that this is not USB powered, in favor of a proprietary plug. Why? No good reason. But, that is the only thing I don't like about this so I'll have to suffer through it. I would like to take half a star off for that, but amazon is all or nothing on that front. ... show more

These beard and hair clippers were fantastic. They were rechargeable, and I loved how quickly they charged up. This is a pretty unique design from Philips. Instead of giving you 20+ different guards of varying lengths, you get 2 hair combs that can cover 28 (One for 3-15mm and the other for 16-28mm) and a beard comb. Additionally this unit features a turbo mode button which boosts the power if you're going over exceptionally thick hair. The noise only slightly increases, but it does offer a noticeably more powerful bump in performance. The included carrying case is a soft material with a zipper top. It's nothing fancy but will hold your attachments and keep everything in one place. This model offers a battery life of up to 90 minutes and also includes a power adapter, which is nice to see since a lot of newer models have gone to USB A cables leaving you to find your own brick.
