The handles have a rubberized, textured grip. The adjustable blades “click” when you move the lever, and won’t get knocked out of position as you work. Battery life? I’ve charged them once since I got them last month, and use them almost daily (I keep my hair cut short). They also charge using a USB-C cable. Easy peasey. Definitely sturdier than my old, Wahl cordless clippers, too. You might want a different set of guards, however. The media could not be loaded. These were so dirty when I decided to open them at barber school to show everyone. How embarrassing. It even has a chip out of the paint.
