I decided to go with this gazebo versus others because it was listed on Amazon for $56 on a flash sale. I had ordered it well in the flash sale timing, but I was charged the full price of $179.99. Was a bit upset by that, but not too upset with this gazebo. To me, it feels less than 13x13, as I have measured the area it was to go, several times, for a future deck over a new patio to go out in that area, and where I measured 13', it did not reach that area. It is more of a 10x10 according to my measurements, but they may have meant the diagonal/cross measuring, which it might be there. It was fairly easy to put together and heightened appropriately. I am 5'6, and I was able to get it to full height. I am no stranger to these tents, and I usually have issues getting the corners of these types of gazebos locked in to stay and usually have to have my husband do those, but I was able to get them locked after about 5-10 minutes each corner of struggle in the NC blazing humid heat and direct sunlight in July (was about 95°+ with 90% humidity and cloudless sky- with someone known to be prone to heat exhaustion, can you say heat casualty?! Lol). It was a welcome relief when I finally got them! I did all the setup myself, so it CAN be done with one person, but having a second pair of hands would greatly speed the process up. It has done its job well for our smaller back patio area. There are grommited holes on each side about two feet into the fabric- just above the color change, so it leaks in those areas. Not exactly sure the reason for those holes and in that placement, as the securing lines are literally attaches to the internal corners. Maybe more security with non-supplied additional ropes?? There are holes in the feet so the gazebo can be scured into a dirt or wood patio area, but since our patio area has cement, I chose the securing lines and stakes. The stakes seem very small and flimsy, but they have been holding strong through some really good winds so far. But other than that, works great. I have gotten some solar powered 32' fairy lights and strung them up along the inner supports for some night lighting (I didnt want big, gawdy lights) and it looks great! Originally got it to cover our grill for when we wanted to grill in the rain or blazing heat, which it works for. Unfortunately, with those holes in those placements, we have to move our grill in a lot to keep from rain leaking on it. On sunny days, we can push it back to just the outer edge where it is supposed to be placed. It does cover a SMALL conversation set and grill, but if you are looking for coverage of a larger patio set and grill, this one might not be for you. A large patio set will be covered just fine, or a grilling area, but not full size patio set and grill together. It fits our needs and location well, so I can't complain too hard because of the holes or price gouge. I'd say definitely worth the $56, not so much $180. Just my opinion. ... show more

Since taking the pictures that I've included, we were able to attach some solar globe lights onto this gazebo and even with the solar panel off to the side, this gazebo still looks great. Not to mention, has made my living room a lot cooler. We don't have shade in front of that window so with this gazebo, it not only provides the shade that we need and want but also gives us a nice area to sit in the extended patio area that we have in front of it. The gazebo itself was really easy to setup and install. Rather than having trapped hot air under this gazebo, the opening on the top allows a good amount of air flow to come through and we have yet to experience any trapped hot air while sitting under the gazebo. When it comes to hosing the top down, no water has ever leaked through but rather just beads off. Really helps cool things off and actually enjoy our backyard without being sun burnt. ... show more

I had it up for 2 days and we had some 10mph winds and it broke the strings off of the steaks in the ground. The material it's made of and the strings are very cheap made.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: After posting my review I was contacted by the seller. They were very apologetic and willing to make the situation right without hesitation. The seller has offered to replace the gazebo. I will come back and update again once it's received. ORIGINAL: I purchased this gazebo to set up on my patio for my family visiting from out of state. It looked so nice on my patio. However, it does not withstand wind of ANY kind. I live in Houston where we rarely get a slight breeze, much less a strong wind. This morning we got a nice little breeze (less than 10 mph wind), and shortly after the wind started blowing I heard a loud noise. I look out the window to see what it was and the gazebo is literally on its side - the legs literally snapped like twigs! I'm so disgusted because I haven't even had it for 2 months - money just wasted! As nice as this gazebo looks, I wouldn't recommend at all if you live in an area that gets a lot of wind. ... show more

I left it up the first day I had it ,it rained pretty good last night and it’s still up. it’s a little droopy in the middle but I’m guessing if I would’ve put it down it wouldn’t have been so bad I have it weighted down on all four sides that helps

We used our canopy all last summer on our deck. It is very easy to put up and take down. Obviously no canopy should be left up in a wind storm! It would be very easy to lower the whole canopy if you expected significant wind. We never had to lower it though during the summer in the Pacific Northwest (Portland area). We put it up on our deck using sandbags in May, and used it until September. Never had any problem. Heck for the price you could replace this every year - but as long as you put it away dry, I don't see why it wouldn't last several years. Furthermore, the way it is constructed, you could easily replace the fabric part if needed. The frame itself is very sturdy and an excellent design. We LOVE it! It provided a spacious, cool, and very inviting place on our normally "too hot to use much" deck. Fantastic product! ... show more

The frame on this is not sturdy as soon as wind hits it it bends in and I already have a Crack in the bar where it folds up. I had bought this a couple months ago which I think yous should know.
