I have two pro-traxions and one micro. They are similar in how they work except the micro traxion requires you to feed the rope through the sheave vs simply opening the cheek plate on the pro-traxion which saves time and energy. The micro is better for smaller ropes as well, my 11 mm rubs slightly which can suck if you're hauling loads with it. Over-all this is a space saver for the minimalist. Would be great for top rope soloing. Both models have a self-jamming mechanism which will hold your load or stop your fall. I wouldn't make a habit out of it, but in a pinch they can work well as an ascending device too. ... show more

Has caught my falls. I doubt I've put anywhere near 4kN of force since it grips immediately. I wish I could use larger than 11mm ropes with it.
