Pleasantly surprised with this. I needed something for some new pullets to get up on to get away from my older girls- but I like to be able to move things around to clean and take, so I wanted something movable. Pretty solid. It is in a covered run so I think that might help with longevity. The swing is a little too erratic so none of my ladies are interested in it- I might remove it and put another perch. My chicken run is 4x16 and this fit nicely while still giving my girls room to maneuver around. Was about 20min to put together. I did remove the swing since the chickens seem to trip over it thinking it's unmoving but not a big deal. They love preening on it and to catch the breeze. It's not pressure treated wood so make sure you have this in a spot that doesn't get wet constantly. ... show more

    • Our girls enjoy their chicken perch.
Easy installation. We put inside our barn where our six free range girls spend the night. For a couple of weeks, they ignored it. Suddenly, they all began to roost shoulder to shoulder on the top two bars. They seem happy.

Not very sturdy but already put it together and would be a hassle to disassemble and return. Doubt that it will last very long.

    • Decent roost but you may need to drill your own holes in a few spots.
This is a fairly decent chicken roost and swing. I deducted a star because one of the pieces wasn't drilled in a critical spot, and I had to drill a hole myself. I was able to put it together after that. It's good to lay it all out organized and read directions prior to assembly. My birds don't really use the swing, but they sometimes perch on the ladder, and use it as a launch point to access high beams in my barn. The quality seems reasonable, although I have not taken it outside. I am not sure how it will hold up to rain, as the wood doesn't seem truly waterproof. It will live under cover for now. I appreciate that it came with all the tools needed, and extra screws. It is decent if you want a simple ladder roost, it just isn't that high. ... show more

    • Too big for coop but that’s my fault.
It’s too big for my coop so I have it outside. It’s what I expected though and pretty sturdy.

    • Chickens are happy!
It took my chickens a little bit to use this but they love it! They all love to roost on top of it or use it as a ladder to be eye level with me as I work around their run. They are terrified of the swing part so I probably just should have left that part off.

Chickens were apprehensive at first...but fast forward one week and they are all over this. It is durable and somewhat easy to put together. Only downside is peeling off the stickers.
