Once assembled, I’m happy with it! Putting it together wasn’t the worst but it wasn’t easy and I ended up putting most of it together witha screw driver manually because the electric screw driver didn’t fit in the tiny countersink holes.

The product has very little if any support as the cross bars are too low. Poor design as many of the parts do not fit and are difficult to install. The quality, size and appearance of the product was what I expected.. The seller told me they would make an effort to make this product better, taking into consideration my concerns. No pilot holes are drilled in the wood; this combined with the low quality of the wood means that one of my pieces split on the grain right down the middle when inserting a wood screw as the instructions directed

The assembly instructions are worthless. You will have to figure it out on your own. I had to redo parts several times. I'll keep it...it is not worth returning. But, I recommend you do NOT purchase this item. Look for something better.

We are turning our shed into a place for our chickens and they were gonna need a place to sleep. We only have 4 and this is gonna give them plenty of space to sleep and roam they are going to love it. I’m not a builder by any means but I was able to put it together myself.

It took my husband and I just under an hour to put together. I think it would’ve taken 3 hours if we used the provided screwdriver. You definitely need a screw gun for this one! You also definitely need two people to put it together. It is surprisingly sturdy after assembly. Instructions are not very easy to understand, but it’s still a very doable project, with a lot of consideration required throughout. I’m a little concerned about the paint they covered the wood pieces in. I don’t know if it is safe for my chickens. The listing says these are polished pieces, but I think they are a little rough, and considered sanding them down further to protect my chickens feet. My chickens are VERY pampered. My husband thinks the pieces are perfectly fine for my chickens feet. When measuring to see if this will fit in your space, make sure to leave ample space for your chickens to jump down off the top roost as they will not be able to jump down via stepping down the lower bars. They need about twice as much space to jump down as they do to jump up. We learned sometime ago, with angled wood on the sides of the roosting bars, that the chickens try to walk on the sides and they end up sliding down. They always fall, and as they try to keep themselves from falling, they fly, and need a considerable amount of distance to land safely. None of my 30 birds used the swing yet, and now we have it set up so they can’t. We are going to remove the swing and attach it elsewhere, up higher. ... show more

I partitioned part of my chicken house off for a second area for my smaller hens and I ordered this because I didn’t have time to make them their own roost. This has worked out great! It’s sturdy and fit really good in my small area. I ordered two more!!
