These dog collars fit great on our dogs. The battery last long than mentioned if you take the dogs collars off at night. We had very stubborn dogs who loved to run off but with these collars they don't dare leave the yard, these collars last through them playing outside rain or shine. Completely worth our money. I cried from disbelief when I received this product. I really needed this up in a timely manner to keep my two big dogs safe. I received product within 2 days but when I opened the box the receiver itself was an old used receiver that had worn off stickers on it and made a rattling sound. I got the 2 dog collar and it only came with one. I am pretty sure not all the essentials were included as everything was just thrown in box like it had been just throwed together with old pieces. I am still upset that I spent over 500 dollars and received I am guessing a broken return that had dirt and spiderwebs on it. I did do a return and hoping the next purchase is new and correct ... show more

I’ve never used an electric fencing system as an adult. I have negative memories of the ones we used when I was a teenager. Overall, I’m pleased with the product. The collars are easy to put on and off and adjust. Setting up the system was definitely a two person job and took a while with a number of adjustments. As noted, the control unit needs to be in the middle of the property. It goes out in an exact circle, so it took adjustments within the home, and then we needed to adjust number of feet out from the unit, placing the flags each time we did an adjustment to avoid reaching the street and not going into the yards of our neighbors but still giving our dogs the ability to circle the house without the warning beeps and shaking. We have mother and daughter Labrador retrievers. I’m convinced that the mother at best tolerates the system. With a higher level voltage on her collar, I’ve seen her stand in the zone where she’s being shocked repeatedly because she wants pets from a neighbor. However, she delivered her puppies without so much as a whimper, so I guess she’s just toughening it up. The reality is that she seems content to stay in the yard while wearing it except for visits with neighbors. Her daughter, who is under age 2, is extremely aware of the system and won’t take a chance at being shocked. She actually has much more energy and less common sense, so it’s a win on that front. As the instruction specify, the dogs should not be wearing the collars for extended periods, so make sure you give their neck a rest beyond the charging times and remove the collars at night. My one big complaint, and I don’t understand why, is that when the dogs are in our car, in the middle of the property and not near the electric fence line, I’ve seen the collars malfunction and repeatedly shock the dogs. Obviously we’re removing the collars before putting them in the car these days. I verified that they were not within range of the boundary, and I don’t understand why it’s happened. Overall, though, we’ve been using the system for over a half year, and we are satisfied with it. ... show more

The fence system works well. I will say the it works better for small yards. It's only going to let your dog get around 150 feet from the house. If you want more area for your dog(s) to wander you'll need to get a different system.

Excellent solution for us renters. We have two big dogs and our rental doesn’t have a fence. It was a pain to try and keep them in. I have two large dogs, one is a golden and the other is an 80 lb husky/pyrenees mix. The husky tried to run through the fence but quickly learned that was a bad idea and hasn’t tried since. Believe me, if she could have gotten through it she would have. I haven’t had an issue with it shocking the dogs randomly or anything. I can now leave my dogs outside worry free. Disappointed. Although it will use static control and keep dogs in a specific radius, the radius is significantly smaller than I'd hoped. It works ok for a camper, however for a home it wouldn't reach the outside of a 2000sq ft home.
