  • Spot ON is well... Spot On for quality
Size: Medium (12"-18" Neck)
This collar is the only option for us due to our HOA rule of not being able to have a fence surrounding our property. The collar works great and our Choc Lab has the freedom to run around our whole property which is just .46 acres. We started training her when she reached a little over 6 months. It took only 5 days of training and we used the recommended training that Spot On provided. She knows her boundary so well that a few times we forgot to put the collar on and she still stayed inside our property line. We also love the fact that you don't need a subscription. For us, it is not necessary since she never goes outside the zone. Well, she left the zone twice to chase a rabbit... but she came back in without getting "corrected". It costs more than the other collars (with subscription) but the quality is definitely worth the price and it works perfectly for us. You can also create many zones for areas away from your home like a relatives house or at the beach or field. ... show more

  • A Must-Have for any pet owner with land!!
Size: Medium (12"-18" Neck)
We live on a woody sloped property, so we were really excited to try SpotOn! Previously, we were limiting our dog’s freedom by keeping them on a leash while taking them outside. Due to our heavily wooded property and livestock around us, it was safest to have our pup on a leash. Now with SpotOn, we can have a peace of mind that our dog can roam our property freely and safely. It has been a true game-changer, offering a seamless solution to keep our furry companions safe and secure. Here are some of the features that we ❤️: 1. Precision in Boundary Setting 🔗: One of the standout advantages of a SpotOn GPS fence is its precision in setting boundaries. Traditional physical fences may be challenging to install on uneven terrain, whereas a SpotOn allows for customizable and accurate boundary mapping, ensuring that your pets stay within designated areas. 2. Forest Mode 🌲: This mode ensures you obtain a strong GPS signal and boundaries, despite the heavily wooded areas. 3. Safety and Security 🔒: pets may encounter various hazards, from wildlife to rough terrain. SpotOn provides an added layer of safety by preventing pets from wandering into potentially dangerous areas. 4. Flexibility and Adaptability 🔀: With the ability to create up to 20 fences, SpotOn GPS fence adapts to varies environments and situations. Traveling to visit friends/ family for a week or two? SpotOn has a fence for that. We have different areas/fences for different day/times of the week (ie morning/night/weekends). The collar adapts to your dogs sensitivity and needs. You have the option of choosing two prong lengths (pictured) for static correction, depending on your dog’s fur or you can choose to use none and opt for the “vibrate only” option. & unlike a traditional fence, you can take it with you when you move-smallest fence you’ll ever pack! 5. Aesthetics 📸 : SpotOn GPS fence blends seamlessly into the natural beauty of woody properties, preserving the visual appeal of the surroundings. 6. More Freedom ⛓️💥: With SpotOn, we can safely give our dog more freedom to roam off leash! With the collar being waterproof, Kita can safely explores our woods, creeks, pond and waterfalls. If you’re looking for an accurate, versatile, affordable fencing solution that you AND your pup would love, then look no further! This is a must have!! ... show more

  • Exceeded all expectations.
Size: Large (19"-26" Neck)
I bought my SpotOn GPS collar just over a month ago. It arrived in early/mid February, lots of snow and cold weather at the time. It took me a couple of days to walk the perimeter and get used to the phone app to adjust and fine tune the "fence" around my property (.8 acre fenced on two sides and open to fast high traffic in the front with a farmers access road on the side, both unfenced). With a little patience and my 8 month old pit bull mix (rescue) at my side, we eventually mapped out a fence that would keep him away from the high traffic road and still allow him to walk the farmers access road. As I said, this was completed exactly one month ago. It took less than a week to teach him to walk the perimeter and avoid the initial vibrate of the collar (no shock during this training). The only time he breached the fence was when I was not with him or he saw one of the neighbors and insisted on being greeted (he is overly friendly and trusting). Finally after about 10 days in I decided to turn on the shock part of the collar. I initially set it at the halfway setting and he wasn't really stopped by this, he didn't seem to mind the shock as much as he did the fibrate. I changed the collar contact points to the longer ones and set the shock setting to maximum and tried again. I did not leash him but supervised from the house. He set out on the farmers access road and after breaching the perimeter I noticed he immediately jumped back into the fenced area as he appeared to get his first collar shock. I went back out with him and he stayed within the fenced area of the access road. Later in the day he took off for the main high traffic road. This time when he reached the perimeter he visibly showed severe discomfort and let out a little yelp as he backed away from the edge. He hasn't breached that fence since. He goes out to the mailbox with me every day, but he stops a good 3 yards or more away and waits for me. He no longer runs out into the road like he used to. For the past three weeks he has free reign of the entire fenced in perimeter and he has never breached the perimeter. I was a bit skeptical when I first got the collar and was concerned that the accuracy of the fence and the collar would amount to some additional headaches with time, but so far, this has been the best investment ever in keeping my dog safe and within my property. I recently installed a doggy door panel (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D97Z4625?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1), another great investment, and he now comes and goes as he pleases. It's been great for everyone and he has become much more independent when outside on his own. I cannot recommend the SpotOn more as a great alternative to expensive physical fencing. I will report again later if anything changes, but so far this product has exceeded all my expectations. UPDATE 5/6/26: About three months since I started using this collar. I will need to review again after a year has gone by or something eventful happens. So far my original review still stands. My puppy, now eleven months old, took to this collar immediately. He was thrilled to be out in my unfenced yard without a tether or leash. When I first started using this he tested the border limits twice that I'm aware of. After that he has never breached the invisible fence and he doesn't even try. He keeps his distance from the warning beeps and seems content with having free reign of my one acre lot. I can let him come and go from my house without supervision knowing that he won't venture far. I thought the price tag was a bit high on this collar, but as of now, the freedom and peace of mind that it brings far outweighs the purchase price. It has a long life between charges and I find that one two or three hour charge at the end of each day is enough for the entire day. If the battery holds up and this is still working in the next year I will consider that a win for us all. ... show more

  • Works occasionally
Size: Medium (12"-18" Neck)
Collar works intermittently. And after only about eight months, I cannot get any of the commands to work. I have done all the troubleshooting, and the companies only response is for me to mail the collar back to them. They will look at it and then mail it back to me. Offering me no temporary collar in the meantime. Multiple times in the past month the collar has been on, but the dogs are able to just walk through the boundary with no notice to myself or them. And the GPS tracking often does not work at all. ... show more

Size: Medium (12"-18" Neck)
Amazing product. Works excellent on my rather stubborn gsd. Went 4 stars instead of 5 because the battery doesnt last a full day so you need 2 collars per dog.

  • Perfect! Worth every penny
Size: Large (19"-26" Neck)
I know this thing is a bit expensive. I have wasted money on cheaper GPS collars, and after too many bad experiences with a lost puppy and a failing GPS tracker I decided I must get the best available collar for this one dog, Billie, who is not satisfied with just the 20 acres of land she has to play in. After many hours watching youtube reviews on collars, i settled on the SpotOn. After several months using it, i am 100% satisfied. Setup wasn't too difficult. I think watching youtube videos prior to getting the device helped my understand what to expect with the setup and training. Highly recommend investing some time with that for anyone getting this collar. Especially when accounting for GPS drift, which is a limitation of GPS technology not the collar itself. I tested the collar on myself before starting to train Billie to it. The GPS is more accurate than I've observed on other collars. The audio notifications are immediate, and the app notifications are very fast. Within a couple seconds or less. The app also keeps track of any time the collar crossed the boundary and give you status on the event like time out, time back in, how far they traveled, and tracking information on a map. The app provides a training program for teaching your dog to the fence boundary. My daughter is a professional dog trainer and confirmed the program is good. So I went with it. Billie picked up on the fence boundary so quick that I never went through to the end of the program. Billie quickly figured out that the virtual boundaries are aligned to our farm's perimeter fence, and she doesn't go near the fence line, or gates any more. I didn't even bother with the electric static correction either. I saw how effective it is this morning when all four of my dogs were chasing after a deer. Three of the dogs went through an open back gate and after the deer onto a neighbors farm (these three always come home). Billie on the other hand, stopped about 20 feet from the gate, then turned around and layed down. I couldn't believe that her training to the virtual fence would overcome a prey drive, and I never specifically trained her to that back gate! Love that the fence boundaries are downloaded into the collar so even when cellular signal is out the GPS will still correct her if she starts to wander. But, despite cell signal being spotty in my rural area, the universal cell service on the collar has not failed yet. Big plus on both over cheaper GPS collars. The collar is stout! I am not worried about it breaking off like my last collar did. Although a bit bulky, my large dog doesn't mind it at all. The way that it's designed, the larger components are on the opposite end of the GPS and Cell receiver, so that are always pointed up towards the sky when the collar is on. And the GPS works great under heavy tree cover. I've seen some negative reviews about people's dogs being corrected when inside the house. I made the home zone much larger than my house so the collar turns off once Billie reaches the yard. Who needs to track their dog in the front yard anyway? I've also seen complaints about location update frequency, which i think is people misunderstanding functionality. When the dog is inside the virtual fence the tracking status updates every 5-10 minutes, which I guess is to save on battery life. But as soon as they cross the fence boundaries, it immediately switches to real-time tracking. While inside the boundary, the app allows you to refresh location any time, and you can turn on real-time tracking at any time, which also shows your location on the map as well. Yes. 100% satisfied with this GPS collar. Would recommend to anyone without any reservations. ... show more

  • Must Have Collar for Farm Dogs
Size: Large (19"-26" Neck)
I can finally sleep peacefully at night thanks to Spot On! We have two rescue farm dogs on our 300 acre farm that protect our livestock at night. It was impossible to safely keep them on the property because we are unable to use a real fence or put in underground electric wire to set boundaries where we desire. They would chase coyotes and critters for miles. The GPS boundaries and keep out zones make it possible for us to keep our dogs out of the road and away from our neighbor’s property. A legit life saver!! They finally stay in their yard all night long. We recently went on a trip out of town and were able to ensure they were safe even while we were gone and our farm sitters were watching them. Multiple people can have access to the app to have control and watch them which was very handy for our sitters! The relief is well worth the cost of the collar. I am very impressed with this company and their customer service. Setting the collars up was easy, but if you need help they have many resources and people to assist you. Very impressed with how they work and the battery life! We ordered the Universal one because we are in a rural area and are having no issues with it so far! The collar itself is easily adjustable and seems to be comfortable for the boys. And thankfully it is water proof so our dogs can still enjoy the creek while staying protected! The collars we received were in perfect condition. They are very durable compared to other e-collars we have tried. I was nervous that it wouldn’t fit our 120 pound dog because he had a huge neck, but the Large fits him perfectly! I seriously recommend anyone with farm dogs to try this collar because I cannot imagine a night without them anymore. Our dogs are family, and being able to keep them safe and know where they are is such a blessing thanks to Spot On! ... show more

We were very skeptical that this system would work as well as it does with our German Shorthair pointer. He is an energetic three year old. It has been the best investment so far. We do take the collar off as soon as he comes into the house as it is large. As soon as I take it off the charger he gets very excited to have it put on as he knows he gets to go outside. Our GPS was previously trained on a collar so was familiar with the warning tone when getting close to the fence boundary. We were surprised at how quickly he learned the boundaries. ... show more
