I have a 2.5 year old Weimaraner that has lived his entire life off leash. He loves to run the property, but like a true hunting dog, his prey drive forces him to chase deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels and birds into areas he KNOWS he isn’t allowed. We got TIRED of having to hold a remote in our hand to let him know when he’s out of bounds. Those other collars were GREAT to train him, but the Halo 5 is perfect because it does all the “watching” for us. He will respond to the whistles, the vibration and we’ve not had to use the other deterrent. This is a great product. The battery needs to be charged nightly, that’s a suggestion from Halo. They also suggest you train/walk the perimeter with your dog. I suggest the same, unless your dog already knows the boundaries. The Halo 5 does require a subscription. I believe mine was $165 annually.

This collar has been such a great investment for us. We have an unfenced yard, and while our dog was okay off-leash for short periods, she would often wander when she got distracted. Since using the wireless dog fence, we’ve seen a huge improvement in her behavior. She understands her boundaries much better now and is way more responsive when we call her back. It’s made letting her roam feel a lot less stressful and a lot more enjoyable for everyone. The battery life has been solid so far and hasn’t been an issue with our daily use.

This collar has been a game changer! I have a very clever German Shephard that consistently finds new ways to escape my backyard. After numerous times of her getting out and being picked up by animal control we decided to invest in the Halo invisible wireless dog fence and we are so happy that we did. We can leave our dog in the backyard worry free. She is less anxious and behaves better because she has more freedom and we have peace of mind. This collar is 100% worth the cost and is very high quality. I was very impressed with the easy setup and how quickly my dog responded to the trainings and how many trainings are on the app. I fully believe that the value will continue to increase as I use it and my dogs training and behavior will continue to improve. I've tried other wireless dog fences and they are unreliable and inconsistent, it's worth it to invest in a high quality one like the Halo system.

If I could give the product zero stars I would . The very first couple of days since purchasing the product we noticed issues with getting a full 48 hours worth of charge. Contacted halo support several times and tried many of their diagnostics recommendations with now our collars life average being about 26 hours. My dog has gotten out the yard several times because the collar died before expected or the signal didnt work so neither did the buzz or shock methods. When I originally wanted to return the item amazon told me to go through halo . And of course as soon as the 30 day warranty was up halo told me I had to go through Amazon which no longer will offer me a refund only a replacement which I really dont want because they cant find any issues with the collar on their end. So why would I want another one that probably wont work either. Anyways very very disappointed and will warn anyone of you have an issue with your collar IMMEDIATELY return it and get your money back.

Don’t try and cheap out on a GPS collar. I tried the Aweec or whatever Chinese collar and it did not work at all. I actually returned one and tried a new one because it was so bad but I’m out that $300. I wish I had bought the Halo to begin with. I have a young hound that will follow her nose to no end and it keeps her within the boundary that I set without any complications going on 2 months now. The peace of mind that this collar offers is priceless knowing that she isn’t at my neighbors trying to eat their chickens or chasing cows. I can see her location on my 8 acre pasture and send her a nice whistle which brings her running home. I can’t recommend this collar more. Worth every penny.

I bought this system for my 8 month old lab and I’ve gotta admit it works pretty darn good. We live in a rural area with little to no cell service and spotty signal on our gps but this system works well for the most part. We do have an area in our lower yard that we lose connection with the collar if live tracking our dogs location but the gps still works and keeps her contained. My two complaints are, why do I have to spend this kind of money and still have to pay a monthly subscription fee? Cmon man! Second, the correction zone is like 300yds wide and from what I see there’s no way to adjust it. Doesn’t seem like a big deal but I created multiple fences on our farm and realized the correction zones were all overlapping so it would confuse the collar. Overall it works in our yard, pond, pasture, wooded areas etc even though we have no cell service. Training was easy and I bought little marker flags to give visual clues of where the boundary was.
