Features

  • Halo Collar 5 Powered by Precision+: No other wireless dog fence combines dual-frequency L1 and L5 satellites with real-time ground-station corrections. A global network of ground stations sends real-time corrections to your Halo Collar, delivering GPS accuracy within 2 feet of your dog's actual location. Dual-frequency GPS, drift prevention, and proprietary AI obstacle filtering do the rest.
  • Subscription required to activate GPS & fence features: Your Halo membership unlocks GPS tracking, unlimited cellular data, virtual fence creation, training guidance, live support, and activity reports. Choose your plan after purchase to enable tracking and containment.
  • Know where your dog is the moment it matters: Know your dog's exact location 24/7 with AlwaysOn GPS that comes standard with every plan and never stops tracking your dog. Get instant smartphone alerts if they approach or cross a boundary.
  • Built for all yard sizes, rural properties, and wide-open spaces: Advanced GPS technology works with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular connections to keep your dog's location updated 20 times per second. Create and store multiple fences, even on rural properties, hiking trails, and remote locations where other GPS collars fail.
  • Professional training guidance built-in: An exclusive training program by Cesar Millan teaches any dog to understand the automatic sound, vibration, and static (optional) warnings they receive as they approach a boundary.
  • Longer battery, faster charging: All-day battery life keeps your dog safely contained between charges. Rapid charging happens in about 1 hour.
  • Fits small, medium & large dogs (10 lbs and up): Adjustable 830 inch collar ensures a secure fit for most breeds. Waterproof (IP67) and built for active dogs who run, swim, and explore.
  • Works without wires or base stations: Unlike traditional wireless dog fences that need a plug-in transmitter, Halo Collar is entirely self-contained and works using satellite and cellular connectivity. Take it anywhere without hauling equipment. Create a new fence in seconds from your phone (with sizes ranging from 900 sq. ft. to 1,200 sq. miles), whether you're at home, a friend's house, or a campsite.

  • Great Collar
Color: Blaze Size: One Size
I have a 2.5 year old Weimaraner that has lived his entire life off leash. He loves to run the property, but like a true hunting dog, his prey drive forces him to chase deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels and birds into areas he KNOWS he isn’t allowed. We got TIRED of having to hold a remote in our hand to let him know when he’s out of bounds. Those other collars were GREAT to train him, but the Halo 5 is perfect because it does all the “watching” for us. He will respond to the whistles, the vibration and we’ve not had to use the other deterrent. This is a great product. The battery needs to be charged nightly, that’s a suggestion from Halo. They also suggest you train/walk the perimeter with your dog. I suggest the same, unless your dog already knows the boundaries. The Halo 5 does require a subscription. I believe mine was $165 annually. ... show more

  • Standard Poodle - 3 weeks to learn the rules Standard Poodle - 3 weeks to learn the rules
Color: Orchid Size: One Size
Expensive - Actually PRICELESS!! I’m sitting outside on a warm spring morning while my 13 month old standard poodle, Zoe, is wondering around our 3 acres – investigating under bushes, chasing a bird, stopping for a drink, running full speed after a rabbit she will never catch, and just enjoying her life as a dog. I am sitting in comfort, enjoying nature, even though I don’t always have my eyes on Zoe. As a teenager, she does look for ways to get herself into trouble, but outside there is so much enrichment naturally in her environment she doesn’t think about chewing on things or seeking negative attention. No matter where she is, if I use the callback whistle, she comes running to me. It has been weeks since she even wondered near the boundary limits. Over the last week or two she did very well responding to the warnings and returned back into the yard never breaching the fence. She has had a boy on a bicycle, passing cars, and vermin and wildlife that scurry out of her reach. She continues to respect the boundary and gives up the chase until they happen back into the yard area. I could not be more pleased with the accuracy and stability of the fence because our property is long and narrow The option of drawing the fence line in the app was a game changer. In the past, we’ve used underground wire. There was always a break somewhere along the way by a rodent, mole, weevil, etc., chewing through. Once our system was even struck by lightning. The fact that Halo uses GPS and Bluetooth takes away all those worries, as well. I do not hesitate to highly recommend the Halo system. Thank you for bringing peace and harmony to our home. ... show more

  • Worked great at first, then completely unreliable
Color: Orchid Size: One Size
I really wanted to love this collar. When we first got it, it worked perfectly. I was honestly so excited because we have a large property, and I finally felt like my dog could safely roam without worrying. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long. After the first week, we started having issues and had to go through multiple service calls. Eventually they sent a replacement, but it was clearly not brand new, which was disappointing right off the bat. Especially since it was a 1 year warranty replacement. In my opinion I believe the replacement should’ve been brand new. The replacement acted just like the “defected” collar. The collar has been extremely unreliable. The static correction either doesn’t work at all or only works occasionally. I have adjusted the fit, cleaned the contact points, and even set it to the highest level. Most of the time, my dog is completely unbothered by it and walks right through the boundary. On the rare occasions it does work, she reacts immediately, which tells me the collar itself is malfunctioning, not that she’s ignoring it. This has turned into a safety issue. She gets onto our dock multiple times a day, which I specifically need her to avoid because I’m worried she could knock a child into the water. At the same time, the collar has randomly shocked her while she was just standing on our front porch, which is very concerning. Because the containment feature doesn’t work, she’s also gotten into areas she shouldn’t, like our garage, where she ate cat food and ended up sick for a week. At this point, the only feature that consistently works is the GPS tracking, but that’s not what I purchased this for. I’m also still paying a monthly subscription for a product that isn’t doing its main job. The biggest disappointment is that I had to stop letting her roam freely. I now have to keep her penned up when I leave for work, which completely defeats the purpose of buying this collar in the first place. I really wanted this to work. I had plans to use it for camping trips and everyday use on our property, but right now it’s just not reliable enough to trust. **Don’t waste your money on this!** ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Color: Blaze Size: One Size
So happy I finally broke down and bought the halo collar! Worth every penny. I used the wired dog fence for 6 years, having to fix countless breaks in the wire and having to replace the whole wire system once. Wish I would have originally spend the couple hundred dollars more on the halo. Since my Doberman was already used to his wired fence, he learned the halo collar pretty quickly. He has ran through the boundary a couple times following the kids and I get alerted right away. I love that. Then it alerts as soon as he returns. We are on 2 acres, I like that I can check where he is on the app while inside my house. I do find that I have a to charge it daily, and I like that it alerts me when the battery dies. I would like to shut the collar off at night while not in use or if we leave for the day, but it doesn’t seem to want to shut off. Over all highly recommend, wish I would have bought 6 years ago would have saved so much extra work! ... show more

  • It works even without cell signal in rural, wooded areas. It works even without cell signal in rural, wooded areas.
Color: Blaze Size: One Size
I bought this system for my 8 month old lab and I’ve gotta admit it works pretty darn good. We live in a rural area with little to no cell service and spotty signal on our gps but this system works well for the most part. We do have an area in our lower yard that we lose connection with the collar if live tracking our dogs location but the gps still works and keeps her contained. My two complaints are, why do I have to spend this kind of money and still have to pay a monthly subscription fee? Cmon man! Second, the correction zone is like 300yds wide and from what I see there’s no way to adjust it. Doesn’t seem like a big deal but I created multiple fences on our farm and realized the correction zones were all overlapping so it would confuse the collar. Overall it works in our yard, pond, pasture, wooded areas etc even though we have no cell service. Training was easy and I bought little marker flags to give visual clues of where the boundary was. ... show more

  • Must-have for thick coats. Best tracking/training collar I've used!! Must-have for thick coats. Best tracking/training collar I've used!!
Color: Blaze Size: One Size
I rarely ever leave reviews, but I had to for this. The Halo collar is a total game changer for my Alaskan Malamute. Since she’s a professional escape artist (and likes to spend her time digging 'dens' all over the yard, see the hole for reference!), I finally have peace of mind. The long adapters were absolutely clutch; they are the only way to get through her thick coat and skin. It’s a high-quality system, the training is great, and it’s 100% worth the investment for her freedom and my sanity!!! ... show more

  • Useful but not perfect
Color: Midnight Size: One Size
These work okay. You have to have a monthly service for the gps to work. It’s $21.06/month for our two. The battery life isn’t great and if you have dogs who love to get dirty, it will cake the plug connection and you have to clean it out. The batteries are lasting about 12-14 hours a day. The gps service doesn’t always work either and sometimes it can take up to 5 mins to connect. Theres also a dead spot on our property that is just out of range of WiFi that they like to go to and then the call back button doesn’t work. So it’s not perfect but I do feel safer knowing that even if my dogs chase a coyote, rabbit, or deer, it will let us know so we can go get them for their safety. ... show more

  • A true life saver!
Color: Midnight Size: One Size
Best purchase ever! This is perfect for yards that are just not great for fencing and You are sick of being tripped by leads! Our five year old golden retriever has really picked up the “fences” quickly. I do suggest not letting the dog wear it in the house, sometimes the signal is off from where the dog actually is and he will get the warnings and a shock if he doesn’t move back into the safe location . It is very easy to set up and the videos on the halo app are easy to follow. I like that the app has instructions written and videos to follow. Other reviews complained about battery life but we haven’t had an issue. We plug in the collar every night. Also the collar holds up great in rain and wetness. We haven’t had any issues with signal not working during bad weather. Designing your fence takes a little practice but I found that having your dog/collar outside while doing the fences on the app helps with understanding the locations. I am a visual person. So it definitely helped me to connect the posts and fences. ... show more
