Ms. Penny likes to charge down the driveway and scare people going past. The tie out takes a beating every time. I replace these cables regularly and used to buy the type with a spring on the end. I saved the springs when tossing the old cables, and now have several springs connected together to ease her "body jarring" when she reaches the end of the cable. Now I can purchase the "cable only" like this item. New cables are very nice for a while. I expect to get 6 months or so from this item.

I have heard that there's a tool that can help with this, but who wants to buy that tool? As an older woman on my own, it's never gotten twisted all the way into the ground. If it were in the ground, I think it would work very well. Very sturdy. Even halfway in, it holds my husky.
