Then I realized if the power goes out, there would be no water as there is no reserve on that one. It is relatively small and fits nicely in small spaces. You can even see the water level from the outside, which is a requirement for me. Easy to use & put together. Things are mostly working except 2 issued: 1. I’m seeing mold on the filter in day 4. See the attached picture. Feels like I will spend a fortune on filters. I may choose not to use filters and replace the water daily. 2. The water doesn’t “spring” once the water reached < 50% of capacity. It could only slowly flow at that point. EDIT: the motor stopped working after 2 weeks. So I’m changing to 1 star ... show more

We’ve tried several other pet drinking fountains over the years, but they always got slimy quickly were a pain in the a** to clean. Saw a review for this fountain on TikTok and thought it looked pretty good so I gave it a chance. Turns out the girl on Tiki wasn’t kind ENOUGH about it! This is a GREAT little fountain! Soooo easy to assemble, and I love the filter pack that pops in just under the top- keeps the water fresh and the slime at bay! I empty and disassemble the fountain every 2 weeks to give it a good wash, and so far every time I do this there is barely ANY slime buildup at all! A very clean system. Our cat loves drinking from it, too, so the water must taste nice and clean. You’ll have to order the replacement filters, but they come in a 4-pack so you don’t have to reorder that often (and they’re not expensive at all). As for the sound, it’s barely audible, but it’s a nice little water fountain sound- quite nice! My ONLY complaint at all is that you have to keep a close eye on the water level; there’s a very faint “MIN” line on the side of the water tank, and if the water drops below that the pump motor could burn out…so it’s not a totally “set it and forget it” fountain. But other than that….totally five stars! Don’t hesitate- order it. ... show more

This fountain has a really nice, simple design compared to all the other pet fountains on Amazon while being very simple to assemble and disassemble. You can have it in two configurations whether it be with the water fall or without, both are surprisingly quiet and appealing options. I’m so glad I can easily see the water level of the tank from the outside of the frosted plastic which makes it easy for me to know when to change out the water and help extend the life of the pump. Brand new product, and a long hair came stuck between the body and the base. I pulled it, and the rest of the hair is left stuck. I wouldn’t have given this a one star review IF THE BASE WAS REMOVABLE so I CAN GET THE DISGUSTING HAIR OUT!! It’s just, now I have to see that hair strand that god knows whom it belongs to EVERY TIME I try to fill the water for my pet. No, it’s not a good feeling. ... show more

UPDATE: after a few months, I noticed the water stream with the spout my cat likes was consistently weak. I contacted the company directly and they were helpful and sent a replacement pump. But I had the same issue. I also noticed slime buildup more often despite weekly cleaning and even running through the dishwasher except the pump parts which had slime but were cleaned manually. I can't return it on Amazon anymore but requested a refund or credit from the company. So far I haven't heard back but it was just a day or two ago. Either way I won't be using it anymore since it isn't working well. I just been using a regular water bowl with my cat and adding extra water in my cats food until I find another type maybe a stainless steel. This was the first pet fountain I purchased for my kitty, and it's a keeper! I did a good amount of reading about different models and had hesitated for awhile because I was afraid a fountain could be more trouble than it's worth - mainly the water getting dirty and clean up when the main idea to encourage more fresh clean drinking. But I caved because I did love this idea. I chose this fountain to try first as it was pretty new and highly rated, seemed to describe a good filtration system, and looked smaller for my one cat and easy to manage. Luckily this turned out to be true! My cat tends to be a scaredy cat haha but it's ultra quiet and I always see her drinking from it and watching in fascination. It was very easy to put together and take apart for cleaning. The only drawback was that it was plastic which is generally less hypoallergenic. But I read how stainless steel and ceramic still get some cleanliness iissues as well when it comes to fountain. Her other bowls are ceramic or stainless steel I figured this is the only plastic bowl she drinks from and with it working so well and easy to clean its working out very well. I had reached out to the company asking a question and they were very responsive. I would highly recommend for a single or small pet! They also have a few other fountains that likely are worth a try too. ... show more
