This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect generally receives positive feedback from consumers, as it largely addressed their pet feeding issues. Customers specially appreciate its promise to deliver regulated meal times specifically for their cats. Pros

  • 🐱 Solves the problem of specific diets, and regulating cat meal times.
  • 🐈 Works quite effectively with dry food and helps to control overeating.
  • 🤖 The design is quite pleasing, fitting well within home decor.
  • 👀 Comes with an instructional manual to guide users on how to get the most out of the feeder.

Cons

  • ⚡ The feeder runs on batteries, which need to be replaced frequently - every month according to one user.
  • 🔄 The need to frequently contact customer service to reset settings due to malfunction can be quite tedious.
  • 👥 It's difficult to prevent other non-chipped pets from accessing the feeder, making it necessary to purchase an additional accessory.
  • 📱 Basic custom features are not in the phone application, which could be inconvenient for some users.

Should I Buy It?

If you need a solution for feeding pets with specific diets at regulated times, then the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect could be a good option for you. If these issues do not pose a significant concern for you, then this product could be well worth considering.

  • BEST PET PRODUCT
Style: Connect Version
I am so beyond thrilled with this product. It’s definitely pricey, but totally worth every penny. You do have to separately buy a lot of the parts, like the home device so you can monitor your cars food intake through WiFi and Bluetooth. Easy to clean, travel, and use! I have it connected to my cats microchip and it works very well. Training mode is extremely helpful when introducing it to your cat, my siamese adjusted/finished training after two days. I bought it because my moms cat and dog will eat my cats food when I bring him home. It’s a wonderful product because it helps my cat feel confident to eat and that no one is gonna take his food. It truly only works for him and the other animals can’t access his food! ... show more

  • Helping my fat cat with his diet
Style: Connect Version
I purchased this product without the hub (it isn't required although some of the hub features might be helpful for some). I have two cats: one who likes to graze and one who will inhale all food in sight and beg for more (same, buddy). However, after my little cement block was, deservedly, fat-shamed at the vet, we got this feeder to help him control his eating. More specifically, the dry food that he won't stop eating is now no longer available to him. The product comes with a single bowl and a pair of separated half-size bowls, as well as a rubbery-feeling "mat" for the front. For my grazer, we went with the larger bowl. I fill it daily and then he can access it when he wants without worrying about Mr. Pudge eating it all. Instructions were good, although I didn't use the first few pages, which are about connecting to a hub. Programming the cat's microchip was easy - you push a button and then drop some high value treats into the bowl. While your cat snacks, it registers their implanted microchip. Training was also simple, there are 4 modes that slowly put more of the lid over the bowl so your cat can get used to it moving. My boy was a little anxious the first time the lid moved but settled right in to eat. If your cat is very nervous, you can leave the training mode at any stage for as long as necessary. Now, hopefully, my chubby cat can lose some weight and make the vet proud at this next visit. ... show more

  • 1 dud out of 3?? Hmm maybe
Style: Connect Version
Overall I LOVE the concept of these devices. I wish similar products like these were available for large dogs. I am 50/50 with these bowls. For the most part they work well. My only concern is the accuracy. I bought 2 of these at one time. One bowl works fantastic. The other one is iffy with the accuracy. The one that works great only allows the assigned kitty to feed from it and keep withers out. I have 3 cats total and they're all on sure feed bowls 2 bowls are these models and 3rd is lower end model that can't be used with hub. The bowl that is iffy. It will let the assigned kitty and 1 other feed from it but keep 3rd kitty out. After some confusion and frustration, I decided to attempt to reset and re-assign only one kitty to the bowl. Despite my attempts it still allows 2 cats to feed from it instead of one. I don't known if this bowl is a did or what because the others work great. I am still hopeful and with a positive outlook since I have had more success than failures with these bowls. I still would like to keep trying and maybe acquire a replacement for the "dud" feeder. My goal is to have ALL 3 kitties on same model of bowl and connect bowls to hub sold separately to better monitor their feedings for health observations and prevent any potential medical issues. ... show more

  • This is a great Pet Feeder
Style: Connect Version
We received this feeder 1 Jul 2021. My wife's Chihuahua (Bam) learned how to use her feeder very quickly. This October the feeder would not reset after replacing the batteries. The door wouldn't close nothing. I called Sure petcare and spoke to Terri the customer rep. She confirmed something was wrong with the unit and shipped a replacement out. All I had to do was email her a picture of the s/n# on the back. Received the new unit and it worked like a charm as soon I placed the batteries inside. Although many products have 3yr warranties, they do not include shipping and sometimes you have to ship the broken item back first before they do anything. This company backs their product 100%. As a 100% disabled retired veteran on a set income we need to support more companies like this one. If you want a feeder that will keep your pet's food & water clean and fresh all day this is the feeder for you. We do not use the hub and we paid for this feeder ourselves. From July 2021 to October 20, 2021 we have been using this feeder with no worries until I had to change the batteries. I realize everyone may not have had this experience. I can only say this feeder works for "Bam the Chihuahua" and we will continue to use this product backed by outstanding support from Sure Petcare. Jaminjim, USAF Retired ... show more
