I have a 27 pound mixed breed. Up until now I have been stuffing his allergy meds inbetween chunks of turkey chunks, with a dollop of doggie cheese from a can to hold the pill in there. It works but what a pain. Prior to that I tried the pockets for the pills but they were too bulky and my dog found the pill. So I tried this product. So far it's working okay. He is suspicious so I still attach just a small piece of turkey to the outside, as he doesn't seem as interested in just the bacon flavored paste alone. But at least I can control the amount of paste needed to hide the pill. I'm going to try the cheese and bacon flavored variety next.

I researched various types of pill “pastes” (the pill pockets never worked, even had the pup taken her monthly meds she would throw them up just as easily, chew off the coating spit out the pill, etc, now diagnosed with CHF, she needs her Vetmidin to live, I slowly introduced it, using this paste ONLY FOR her new meds, she now associates it with feeling better from the new rx, and takes it with almost no issues, albeit I trained her for a few days slowly so that she would learn to associate the meds with this yummy paste by offering small crumbs of that only, and allowing her to get into a nice routine. Also great that the product arrived in less than 24 hours. Thanks so much to the manufacturers, this is far superior to the store “pill pocket” types, and it’s helping my dog to have a much higher quality of life with her new meds. Highly recommended! Ps; also has not upset my pup’s rather sensitive stomach, which is essential!

We have 4 dogs and it worked great for the semi picky ones but for our ultra picky one it didn’t work. I still recommend because it’s very easy to use and most dogs will love it

My dog has to take prescription medicine twice per day. I used to try and hide it in treats or even a piece of hot dog from time to time, but what i was finding was she was eating the food the treat was hidden inside of, but spitting her pill out (no wonder her symptoms weren't improving!). I kept a friend of mine's dog for the weekend, and she was also on medication. She sent this to help administer the pills and I noticed how much easier it was to give the medicine, plus the dogs LOVE it. It's a treat to them. No more stuffing in treats or food, and no more having to force them to take it. I lay enough pills out for the week, enclose and wrap her pills in this, and now all i do is lay it in front of my sweet girl and she eats her treat and her medicine too, and loves it. She's doing great, she's getting "treats" twice a day, and I'm one happy dog mama! A little goes a long way too!

It doesn't smell like peanut butter to me, but my girlies will generally eat ANYTHING. The dough just sticks to anything you press it out on to make it flat. It’s more work to have to wrap the pill in hand and even then sometimes the dough will stick to your hands. Then the next thing I know, the pill gets unwrapped as a result and I have to start over. Ugh! I bought several jars; thus, I will be frustrated for a couple of years. I wish I could remember the other brand I used before. It was more expensive, but it was worth it now that I know not all pill wrap dough is the same. Oh, and how could I forget that all 5 came only partially sealed and with hand prints on top of the dough? They must be hand packed—-not a huge deal, but this company needs a better way to seal these to keep the moisture in.

I saw this wrap-a-pill paste and thought why not try it. Doesn’t matter I try to hide a pill, my dog always spits it out. Cheese, peanut butter even chicken couldn’t hide medicine. He eats around it, and nicely places the medicine on the floor. I used just a small amount of this paste, smaller than a gum ball, to hide his pill and he takes it with NO issues!! It’s a soft solid in the jar. When you take it out, it’s almost like playdoh. You can wrap the meds inside, give it a roll and it’s done. It’s not sticky, slimy or crumbly. When he sees me open the jar, he sits and waits patiently for his “treat.” The jar is only 4.2 oz but I think it’ll last me a long time because I need such a small amount. Glad I stumbled across this product!!!

I used to just give my dogs pills in squished cheese, or in pricey pill pockets. I got my first container of this stuff in a pet subscription box and it was amazing. Lasts much longer than pill pockets and is much cleaner than cheese. Just pinch off a bit of paste, cover the pill, and you're good to go. It sticks to itself and to the pill but does not stick to my fingers. I've also started using it for scentwork practice! My dogs are on primary door (food) and I can stick a pinch of this to a wall or behind a shelf, stick their smelly treats to it, and there is no mess to clean up. If they don't pull off and eat the paste themselves, it peels off easy and leaves no residue.
