So my kid is obviously a minecraft fan, and asked for a minecraft cake. Mojang won't just make a deal with the cake industry (they're missing out on some serious royalty money here), so I decided to improvise. These characters are solid metal, and heavier than I expected. At first I was concerned about them being too heavy for the cake, but they were great. Being weighted the way they were, I pushed them a little farther into the icing than I usually would, but they stayed perfectly even when we had to move the cake around. We also bought my son a minecraft playset with 10 other characters, so after we ate cake we washed these and he got to have quite the epic battle. He's still playing with these toys more than a month after his birthday, although some of the paint is beginning to chip from the corners of most of their heads. He doesn't care, he loves them and it has renewed his interest in imaginary play vs video games. I'm very happy with this set! ... show more
