Quiet enough not to freak my Siberian cat out! As the winter months come to a close and spring approaches his super thick undercoat starts to matt. I try to be diligent with combing, brushing and gently pulling apart the stubborn ones but it comes to the point that when I’ve skipped even one day, they seem to have spread out of control. I have to get out the clippers and slowly over time attack them to keep them at bay🤞 My poor guy does start to look out of sorts😿 I hold off to do a more complete close trim when the weather will stay consistently warm. I haven’t used these for any long period of time yet, just a couple of minutes here and there without using the guides. It gets through the dense matt to break it up or cut it off close to his skin. I give only 4 stars because I don’t know how it will do when I use it for his complete trim. At that point, if I feels it warrants 5 stars or have any more info to offer, I will update my review! Brilliant. I have a long haired cat who hates being touched near his tail and hind legs, he also isn't the best at cleaning that area and so it got quite matted. A brush didn't cut it, and a bath is out of the question with this kid. I figured I'd give this a try to trim down the ruined hair and it worked incredibly well. I had tried other clippers and this is the only one that was quiet enough and small enough that my kitty would allow me to shave some big fur mats.
