Well-made and CUTE! Features fish decorations molded in around the perimeter. Instructions are clearly written, and template is made of light cardboard, rather than paper, so easier to use. It has a fuzzy weatherstrip around most of the perimeter but is not airtight. It has 2 small steel weights at the bottom which match up with 2 magnets in the frame to help align the flap when closing. It features a locking mechanism with 4 settings - IN/Out, Locked, In only and Out only to keep your cat where you want them, once they go through. I've used the typical cat doors from the big-box stores and this is similar. However, being ROUNDER, it accommodates chubbier kitties better without using a larger size designed for both dogs and cats. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. ok! i never give reviews but this little door is great. installed in 20 minutes max if you have the proper tools to cut the door. Brings the template of the hole you need to cut. After that is 4 screws and you are done. 🗣️ Buy it! your stalker cat will love it.

    • Dangerous for paws. One of my cats caught both of his front paws in the bottom of the door flap.

I bought the door so my cats could venture out into the attached garage, however the door flap caused one my cats to get both of his paws stuck in the bottom of the flap. Poor thing screamed and cried bloody murder. He scared the hell out of me. Luckily I was near by. I cut an inch or so off the bottom of the flap and tapped ziplock material to it so it would keep the cold draft from coming into the house. So the locking feature is non existing right now. This cat door has some neat features. I like that it has the cute cat face and ears shape. It has the ability to swing both ways, lock from either direction or lock completely. It comes with a template for cutting the door. Cat use may vary as some cats don’t like the hard plastic door shutting on their tail. I do wish there was a soft flap option. If your cat has trouble at first or doesn’t want to go through the opening. You can tape the opening up and open till they get use to passing through. I got one in white as well. ... show more

The door was much sturdier than I expected a well made object I expect a long life from. The cat shape it what drew me to it. What cinched the deal is its slightly larger size than a common square cat door. Thus I can use it to replace my worn out square door made by a now defunct company. It will completely cover the area of the old door and a bit more so no exposed edges from the different sized doors. It is able to be used on an entry door with caulking and the understanding that rodents and other creatures are able to use cat doors not just pets. Also if the mounting door is hollow the cat door has flanges that make the passage a solid tunnel. Great fun and useful too! ... show more

This pet door appears to be built from durable materials with good attention to detail. The instructions are reasonably clear, although the claim that this can be installed in a "glass door" will probably never be tested by an average homeowner. If you're a glass professional, then maybe, but I'd still be surprised. One nice feature is that this unit comes with a heavy paper template that you can use to position and mark the cutting line for the hole in the door. Be sure to note which side is UP by testing it by placing it on the cat door itself so that you can see how much clearance there is between the template and the screw holes and tunnel flanges. I ALMOST cut the hole upside down, but after I compared the template with the disassembled 2 parts of the pet door, I was set straight! You'll want to make sure that the template is "square" and "level" so that the door isn't installed with a slight twist that could affect how well the cat door swings. When using the 4 position locking knob, be sure to test that the door does what it is supposed to do based on the knob position. If the door isn't hanging "just right" when you turn the know, it could end up locking your cat in (or out) when you intended the opposite. A moment of extra care will help keep you and kitty happier! TIP: Before you finish installing the cat door, use your favorite label maker to add easy-to-read labels to the for knob positions. While the words are molded into the plastic, they are hard to read from a distance or if the light isn't "just right!" While you will appreciate the "sweeper gadget" around the door, it is still very possible for wind and rain to come through the pet door. By installing it with the pet door on the interior side, less rain will make it in than when installed the other way around (And you can always re-install it the other way in a few minutes with your handy-dandy screw driver ... show more
