When it no longer functioned, I bought a replacement heater on sale, thinking the original style was no longer manufactured. Why would you want a heater, winter will be coming and this heater works perfectly, especially in my basement where it’s really cold.     • Honest Review Being Used In a 300 Square Foot Living Room And A 180 Ft. Bedroom

Ok, so let me be real and say that these take a long time to heat up and come to full power. They are great units that are much safer than most other types of heaters, but you have to understand that they take time to heat a home or room. If your room is completely cold, it will take several hours for this heater to bring it up to a decent temperature. So why would you buy one like this, that takes so long? Because simply, they won't burn your house down and they are safe to leave on when you away from home. I would never leave a normal electric open faced heater on, if I were not home. These I have no problem with. So in my living room, which is right at 300 square feet, it takes about 3 hours for it to go from cold, to reasonably warm. It won't get hot, even on the highest setting, but it will be just nice and normal feeling. Once it gets up to temp, you can leave it on for days or weeks if you want. Now the one in the bedroom which is 200 square feet, does get that room much hotter, but that's because I can shut the door to the room when. It will get so hot in there on the highest setting, that it will make you sweat. The living room unit doesn't do that, because my living room is also open to the kitchen and the hallway, so you can't shut a door and keep it enclosed. I find the perfect temp for the bedroom is on medium with both dials. That way, it's warm but it won't make you have a heat stroke, lol. Just like with other heaters, you don't want to put these too close to a wall or any item that will get too hot and catch fire. They are safer as they put our radiant heat, but I still like to move them out away from any furniture, walls or clothing. As far as electricity, running 2 of these 24 hours a day for a week during the last cold spell, I saw only about a $15 difference on my bill. I imagine if you had 2 going full time in a northern state for the whole month, you'd see about a $60 increase in your bill. So keep that in mind, but you might could cut that down if you turned them to medium setting or on low in a smaller room. ... show more

    • FANTASTIC, JUST PUT IT UNDER CEILING FAN VERY AND IT WARMS ALMOST MY ENTIRE APT

I used it all winter 24/7, 10/ 2021-4-/2022- and now 10/22- CURRANT AS of this review. I have it placed under my ceiling fan, 800 SQ foot apparent, i am using it as my only heat source, only needed to keep on low 600 watt, its keeping nice and warm, and my January com ed bill was $20 less then prior year same monht using the base boaed heaters. I highly recommend. Cant belive people are giving the product bad reviws for reasons that have nothing to do with the heater. The longer you run them, the hotter and thinner the oil gets, and it puts out more heat, maybe some reviews that say i used for a bit, the uesed again and it didnt make any heat. Theese are radient heaters, no fan, so yes you only feel heat close to it or if in a small roon, but i placed mine directly under my ceing fan runnig at the lowest speed and in the winter diredtion and it circulates the warm air all thu out my apartmant. Its my only heat source 24/7 6 months contuiously. the cord never got hot, i will say that just 3 days before this review the red power light started flickering, the heater still worked fine, but cant take any chance. I had bought 2, so i just pluged it in. I filled a claim with Pelonis, very easy, just had to reply to there email a picture of my reciept and a video of the light flickering , 2 days later i got a email from them that they are mailing me a check for my purchaes price, threy dont repair them, they just give you back the $, so I ordered another for back up, I 100 % recommend this heater, if i run it non stop every 6 months for 6 months 24/7, and my only issue was a bunrt out LED bulb. On low ( 600 watts ) and the thermostat all the way up with it -2 air temp and -25 winchill , 80% of my 800SQ apartment stayed at 64, the back room was 58, and remeber I only had the heat seeting on low 600 watt, when its in the low 30s, my apartmant maintains a even 65 with the tempature dial at half, still on low 600 watt. .
