I am well-pleased with this oil-filled heater and purchased two of them. Both are quiet, totally odor free, very well constructed, and heat output is consistent and satisfactory. I keep these units set at "Low" with the thermostat dial pointing at the third (3rd) white dot. On colder nights, I have moved the settings to "Mid" and the fifth (5th) dot but only for a very short while and then reduced it back down to "Low" and the third dot. I think the only improvement I could suggest would be to place a "locking tab" on the two rear wheels to prevent this unit from rolling around. Will definitely purchase this unit again. ... show more

I read a lot of reviews on several heaters and decided on this one. I liked the smaller footprint and the wheels went on quickly and easily. It heats really well—has absolutely no smell and looks sharp for what it is. We came home to a cold snap and it was great to put it up and have warmth. We do use it in the bathroom but we also did our old DeLongpre, and we have the correct GFI outlet to protect us. We are very happy with this little heater. ... show more

Warehouse original manufacturer box ripped, multiple puncture holes, inner plastic wrapping large tear hole. So I removed from that box to check for potential damage to thin metal fins and oil leakage. Price total over 70.$ no remote bells or whistles. Hike price 30$ over last heater like this. Will plug in after letting oil settle, after standing upside down when delivered. Maker handling disappointing I expect better from Medea/Pelonis brand ... show more

I have owned this heater through two winters. Works well and seems to be more efficient than my two 9"" 750-1500w ceramic space heaters. I use the Pelonis heater in my camper "bedroom" because it sits in a tight space and it puts out gentler steady heat. I set the heater on middle temp setting and (2nd) 1000w setting. I believe settings are 750w 1000w 1500w increments / pulls @ 15 amps on a circuit. !! See specs !! This heater routinely keeps my 160 sqft camper tolerable @72 degrees with sub 32f temps outside. I bought this exact Pelonis oil heater a second time 9/23. First heater still works like a champ! cheers ... show more

    • Honest Review Being Used In a 300 Square Foot Living Room And A 180 Ft. Bedroom

Ok, so let me be real and say that these take a long time to heat up and come to full power. They are great units that are much safer than most other types of heaters, but you have to understand that they take time to heat a home or room. If your room is completely cold, it will take several hours for this heater to bring it up to a decent temperature. So why would you buy one like this, that takes so long? Because simply, they won't burn your house down and they are safe to leave on when you away from home. I would never leave a normal electric open faced heater on, if I were not home. These I have no problem with. So in my living room, which is right at 300 square feet, it takes about 3 hours for it to go from cold, to reasonably warm. It won't get hot, even on the highest setting, but it will be just nice and normal feeling. Once it gets up to temp, you can leave it on for days or weeks if you want. Now the one in the bedroom which is 200 square feet, does get that room much hotter, but that's because I can shut the door to the room when. It will get so hot in there on the highest setting, that it will make you sweat. The living room unit doesn't do that, because my living room is also open to the kitchen and the hallway, so you can't shut a door and keep it enclosed. I find the perfect temp for the bedroom is on medium with both dials. That way, it's warm but it won't make you have a heat stroke, lol. Just like with other heaters, you don't want to put these too close to a wall or any item that will get too hot and catch fire. They are safer as they put our radiant heat, but I still like to move them out away from any furniture, walls or clothing. As far as electricity, running 2 of these 24 hours a day for a week during the last cold spell, I saw only about a $15 difference on my bill. I imagine if you had 2 going full time in a northern state for the whole month, you'd see about a $60 increase in your bill. So keep that in mind, but you might could cut that down if you turned them to medium setting or on low in a smaller room. ... show more

Love this little heater. Using it to heat my 1 bedroom condo instead of turning on my gas furnace. So far house is toasty warm at 73 degrees with the heater on low and temperature at medium. Definitely worth the purchase!!
