I got this rope for my 2 year old blind lab. He’s a heavy chewer, and this held up better than any rope I’ve tried. It’s scented, which makes it easier to find and fun to play with! We play lots of tug of war, including dragging him across the floor on a blanket while he holds on. I finally had to replace it after 6 months, but only because he finally untied one end. Very durable! I have recommended this plenty of times already and will continue to do so. ... show more

i'm on my second rope toy - the first one lasted a few months which was played with a couple times a week. it got so shredded that I'd find lots of thread in my dog's poop the day after playing. my new one also began to loosen and shred after the second time using it. i don't know if a shred-free rope toy exists, but this rope is really expensive for something that doesn't last very long. i'm still rating this highly since it's more durable than others, but for the price - not sure if it's worth it. ... show more

This toy is very durable. Our dog can still chew strings off but it is better than anything else we have bought. When we want to cut off strings he has loosened we need to use knives, scissors do not cut through it. The tuffy brand toys we have always liked for past dogs do not last a night with this dog. These rope toys last and I think we now own all the different flavors. Highly recommend. ... show more

My dogs LOVE rope toys but they tend to want to chew/destroy them. These seem a bit better than a normal rope toy but we still have to be careful and manage their play with it otherwise they are chewing off strings

My pitbull can chew up every dog toy on the market. This has been a real challenge for him. I recommend it for hard chewers. Other similar rope toys pulled apart easily. This product does not. It's surpassed my expectations. My dog loves it.

    • A rope for a beast

We have an english bulldog, st bernard, bernese mtn dog, poodle mix. He's huge and a puppy and we say his motto is ABC (always be chewin'). He destroys toys for strong chewers in an hour. Eats a bully stick in 15 mins. And if a toy does last for a few days, once he figures out the weak points, he destroys it and all subsequent toys like it. But this rope...while he does eventually destroy it, and eats some of it, it tends to last in some form for about a month. We are on our third one. He chews it, finds a weak spot, shreds it, I trim it and give it back to him, repeat. We do have shards of it everywhere in the house (and in his poo) but he loves them. If you have a moderate chewer, this will probably last forever. If you have a tough chewer and take things away as soon as the integrity has been breached, it will probably last a week. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My 18 pound dog toasting it in about an hour. He likes to chew on it but this toy will not last long. The strings wrapped around his teeth so be sure to check your dog after a play session with this toy.
