Perfect Heater for My 84-Year-Old Mom – Quiet, Safe, and Very Effective
Style: Upgraded Color: White
Review Image by Doug Long Photography & Video
I bought this Pelonis Oil Filled Radiator Heater for my 84-year-old mother who lives in West Virginia. Her house has extremely cold floors in the winter, and even with the heat pump running constantly there were still spots in the house that stayed chilly. She’s very cold-natured, so staying warm has always been a challenge. This heater has been a fantastic solution. It produces a very comfortable, steady heat that warms the room without feeling harsh or drying out the air. One of the things I really like is how quiet it is—there’s no fan noise, so it just quietly does its job. Another big plus is the safety and simplicity. The controls are easy for her to use, it’s very stable, and the exterior doesn’t get dangerously hot. It also helped reduce how much she needs to run the heat pump, which should save her money on electricity. Now she can sit comfortably in her favorite spot without piling on blankets. For anyone trying to add warmth to a cold room—especially for elderly parents—this heater is an excellent choice. Highly recommend! ... show more

A good heater for the money
Style: Upgraded Color: White
Works very well for small rooms. Bought for my mom because her central unit went out, and can't afford a several thousand dollar new heat pump. Gets up to temp quickly, then you adjust it down to maintain room temperature. You have to mount the rollers but it's super easy. Heats well and doesn't use a lot of power when on low and middle settings. ... show more

Great heater
Style: Upgraded Color: Black
Lost my heat during freezing temperatures and American Home Shield didn't dispatch for DAYS so I ordered these. I had to call Amazon and get them to expedite the order because my order after being placed said that I should receive them in a MONTH!!! We'll I received 2 out of 4 for the time being. I will say this they really put out some serious heat. It takes a little bit but this is the FIRST time I walked downstairs to have actual heat!!! My little space heaters couldn't cut it. For reference I blocked off areas with curtains covering the doors to some rooms that aren't a necessity. I'd say it covered 400-500 square feet and was very comfortable with outside temperatures in the low 30's. Can't wait to get the other 2. I figured that 4 could cover 2 out of 3 floors in a 2000 square foot house ... show more

Solid heater
Style: Upgraded Color: White
This is a great little heater. It takes a little while to warm up but once it does it makes things nice and toasty. We usually have to turn it off after a while cause it makes the room get so warm. Made mostly of metal and seems to be great quality. Only reason for 4 stars is that one set of wheels is not screwed in, it merely rests on one of the fins. This is fine for rolling it around (which is the intention since it gets hot) but sometimes its easier to just pick it up and move it once it’s been off for a while which you can’t without the wheels falling off. ... show more

A good option if your furnace breaks!
Style: Upgraded Color: White
Our furnace broke recently and was unable to be repaired. We were told it could be up to 3 weeks before the new one could be installed. In the meantime, the temperature inside has been hovering around 55 fahrenheit, if our thermostat can be trusted. We ordered this radiator heater hoping we could get our living space closer to 60. It arrived quickly, was easy to install, and heated up quickly when set to level 3. There is a slight smell, but it's not very noticeable and doesn't give me a headache. I've left in on for hours at a time without it overheating, and the heat lingers when it's turned off. It does seem to raise the ambient temperature of our large, open plan room with high ceilings by 3-5 degrees when we leave it on high for an hour. In a smaller room with a door you can close, I think it would be much more effective, but it's doing its job even in our non-optimal space. I've only had it for 5 days, so I can't speak to longevity, but it's absolutely a solid investment if you need heat quick. ... show more

Heater
Style: Upgraded Color: Black
This thing is quiet so it works well in a bedroom plus it puts out a good amount of heat. One reason I picked this model is because of the basic controls. You have to assemble the feet but it's not hard. Plus it does not take up a lot of space and it looks cool.

Awesome heater
Style: Upgraded Color: Black
This oil filled radiator really saved our butts this winter when our boiler went out! It heated up our 500sq ft living room pretty darn well. I like that it has the auto on/off feature to help regulate energy consumption and thankfully it doesn't get too scary hot to burn anyone. And perk: our cat loves sleeping in front of it haha ... show more
