  • Looks good and made very well.
Color: Natural Wood 6
Original shipment was lost so I contacted the seller. They were fast to respond to my message and immediately sent a new one out. I received it in a couple days. The coop was very easy to assemble. It is weatherproof and appears to be easy to clean. We are housing medium quails and they love it. I recommend this coop. ... show more

  • Good little coop
Color: Natural Wood 6
This is a sturdy but very small coop even for 2-3 chickens. Many reviews I read people were disappointed, which I think is unfair. You just have to know what you are getting. I wanted a small hen house for my chickens to be able to roost at night and that is what this is. They cannot be kept in this space 24/7. If that is what you are looking for, you need to spend more money and get a bigger coop. When shopping for a coop the pictures always make it look bigger than it is. I included my teen in the picture so you can see how small it is. It was easy to assemble. Don't use a drill or electric screwdriver. It would be too much power and will split the wood. You can easily assemble by hand. This is a great little coop for the cost, but should not be used as a full time encloser in my opinion. ... show more

  • Nice product
Color: Natural Wood 6
Hello, this is a nice coop for the money. Yes the wood is soft, as its fir. its nicely stained. Once put together, it is fairly sturdy. couple things to note, the door is put together so the latch is on the other side than what shows in the picture. It also is fairly loose, meaning the actual wood moves up and down within the door frame. will try to sturdy that up. Also, try and put it together fairly close to where you intend to set it up, as moving it is better with 2 people. the ramp is vulnerable when moving it, with just 2 small screws holding it together. the nest box bottom just sets in the frame and is not attached in any way. and each nest box is only about 7.5 inches. also, there are no insulating features and it's quite see-thru, so this won't be good in the winter, unless inside something else, or insulated. The wood is not strong enough for any type of predator protection. I do like it tho. Will make it work until a larger coop is built. Not good for more than 2 chickens, small ones at that. ... show more

  • Impossible
Color: Natural Wood 6
Easy to set up but not as big and doesn’t have a door

  • Works great
Color: Natural Wood 6
Very sturdy, keeps the weather out well too. The only issue I've found are that the latch isn't quite as heavy as I'd like it to be (still very functional, I just like to use heavy duty hardware). If you're using for chickens, keep in mind that it will really only fit 2 full size chickens, and even then they should be let out often for exercise. I use mine to introduce new chickens to my flock, or if I need to isolate one and it works great. ... show more

  • Not bad for a starter coop
Color: Natural Wood 6
Fairly easy to assemble. Wish the parts would have been labeled though. That would have made it much simpler. I think I did it in about 3 hours over two nights. Having my kids “help” slowed me down but it was easy enough. Make sure you notice which side the wire mesh is supposed to be on so you don’t do it backwards. Pretty light weight. My wife and I carried it to its final spot without any difficulty. Keeps the chickens dry from what I’ve seen so far but only when they’re in the house itself. I laid our dog crate plastic bottom liner onto the angled part to keep the rain from blowing in and that seems to work well. Put our feeder under the henhouse but it get’s wet easily when it rains and makes the food soggy. Haven’t figured out a fix for that yet. The wood definitely expands when it gets wet So I wonder how they waterproofed it, if at all. We just had several days of rain and the door to the run is very difficult to open. The slide out for cleaning poop is decent. You have to figure out the best angle to get it out as the indenting intended to give you a finger hold to pull with isn’t great. Otherwise, it’s fine and easy to clean. FYI, chickens are stupid. One went into the house while I had the slide out and promptly fell through the opening that had been created. I haven’t had to clean out the nesting area yet so I’ve been lucky. I assume I can just put on some gloves and scoop the old shavings and any poop out. Size is not bad but misleading in they advertise up to 5 birds. Our 3 are medium sized hens ( I think) and I don’t think we could get more without them being crowded. MAYBE we could get by with one more but that’s definitely it. We already felt like they didn’t have enough room in the run to keep active so we built an addition, which added about 8 more feet of run for them and they seem to love it (maybe $35-40 total at Lowe’s for supplies). So far we’ve been ok with security. We put a 2x4 against all of the doors as an extra precaution against predators. Only one of the 3 doors has a latch that you can actually put a lock on. The others are just slide bolts. It would definitely make me feel better if they had changed that to make it a little more secure. Also, if you don’t use completely level ground, there may be gaps between the bottom wood and the ground so be aware of that or ready to add something like a brick to fill the gap. I’d probably buy again and would definitely buy something like an addition if they made it to add on to our existing coop and run. For the price and compared to other much more expensive modes, this is not a bad starter coop. ... show more

  • Dimensions should be more specific, they can be misleading.
Color: Natural Wood 6
Very well made house, good packaging. Came in 2 boxes and no damage. Easy to assemble with good instructions. I use this for our rabbit indoors so I don't have a weatherproof comment.

  • Very small
Color: Natural Wood 6
I thought this would be bigger that it actually is. It’s hardly large enough for 2 young chickens.
