I have first tried to use it for my Guinea pig, but they are very messy, and still not easy to clean, bc they pee everywhere. Then I use it for my bunny, it is a bit small, and end up I still use another litter tray for me bunny, bc it is more easy to clean. But I like that this cage is very sturdy, and very convenience for feeding, and easy for my bunny to go in and out.

This is by far one of the best cafes for small pets, I have a mini lop bunny. She’s a true dwarf and will likely grow to be 3-4 pounds. I’ve had this cage for almost 3 months and will write a really detailed review of my experience. Cons and pros, etc. Pros: 1. Size, this cage is honestly one of best cages in terms of how spacious it can be for SMALL pets. My rabbit has enough space for a large sized litter box, and space to sleep. HOWEVER, a bunny shouldn’t be keep in this all day. 2. Assembly is really easy, it doesn’t take the brightest person to assembly it in less than 5 min. 3. It has wheels, it’s not that surprising but it comes in really handy when moving it around without dissembling it. Cons: 1. This cage has a plastic door and stairs, which makes it really really hard for a bunny to get in. It could cause serious injury if their nails are long. There’s nothing to grip on, and sometimes my bunny would end up scratching franticly while trying to get in. I recommend putting a piece of rug or towel to make it easier for the bunny. As for the stair, it’s practically useless in a way since it’s also plastic and at least in my case, my rabbit just jumps to the second floor. So I took out the stair. 2. Although the tray underneath is really easy to take out and clean, I find myself using a lot of paper bedding since it’s pretty big. I recommend using another litter and use that instead. Overall, I’m very happy with this cage. My bunny doesn’t have a problem with it other than the ramps. Which can be fixed by putting a piece of rug on it. It’s got enough space for a bunny to eat and sleep. I wouldn’t recommend keeping a bunny inside of this cage for more than 8 hours. My bunny was trained to free roam, and only uses this cage as a big litter box. She sleeps on my bed or on my bedside table every night. She started doing that 2 weeks after we got the cage. Again, great cage for a bunny to sleep and eat but it’s too small to keep them in there at all times.

This cadge is sturdy and good quality which is why I got it in the first place. I’ve read reviews of guinea pigs getting their legs caught in the grate, but after some more reading the item says you can remove the grate which would be fine. BUT when you remove the two sides of the grate there is a bar that goes right through the middle of the cadge! So, we ended up using liners over the grate and putting their bedding on it. It works for our critters. They do end up kicking bedding out the front though. In addition to the bottom not being for guinea pigs, the upper deck/stairs also don’t work well for our boys, so we’ve got it set at the very top and we store their play pen on it when folded.

I really like this cage but one of the most important things is keeping pee away from the rabbit. It doesn't do a great job with that because the grate is to flat and wide and urine just sits on the surface between the openings. So that means the bunny's fur will soak it up. YUCK! One of my Angoras is white. That will look nasty. Another reviewer said something about the urine under the grate around the edge. It DID collect under the grate in my experience which made one more step to clean it and would make it more smelly than necessary. The ramp IS steep but easily fixed with a box the right thickness and length to sit under it & that will make a small landing also. My bunny didn't stay in this cage but a few days than my wire KW cages arrived thankfully! It looks like to much plastic that bunny could chew, like the 4 plastic clamps that hold the bars to the bottom part of the cage and the plastic hinge that's made as part of the door could be chewed and then the door couldn't stay attached if it broke. When a bunny gets bored they will chew and I was concerned about that. But I was hoping to use this cage for, away from home cage but not sure I will. Now I did like everything else about the cage. The high wall all the way around for urine guard. I was surprised at the depth of the tray. Really nice! The door on the top, front door is large enough. I didn't use the shelf platform or ramp for it. My bunny was 8 weeks and she probably would have peed on it so I didn't put it in for her. I did snap it in to see how it fit and seemed to be secure. I would like to send this back but they wanted $18 for shipping. I paid $99 and a few days after the purchase it went up to $129! Someone had asked in the questions section if this would make a good litter box by using without the cage part or wheels. I my opinion I wouldn't because of the way urine just sits on the grate without all of it falling through into the tray, and the urine collecting under the edge of the grate. It would be a great size though.

We bought this to help raise our chicks till they could be out in the coop. It was a little difficult to clean but worked until they were ready to be outside.
