This was the first purchase I made of an air pump for my hydroponics grow system. It worked very well and is durable. It's not too loud and makes lots of bubbles. Love this air pump. Make sure you have the check valve facing the correct way, otherwise air will not flow through it. It is super quiet. Can't even hear it. It's a little bigger than what I would like. Happy with it. It came with no directions. Found a video on YouTube. Purchased another one for my other tank. Using it for a 5 gal tank. My other tank is 10 gal.

I recently came to be the owner of a 75 gallon aquarium that I thought needed more surface agitation, I've never purchased an air pump before this and was very sceptical as to how this pump would preform. So far I have been plesently surprised, I wanted a pump that was quiet, had 2 or more outlets for future add-ons, and that felt like it would last more than a year. My canister filter is louder than this pump and I've always considered that filter to be super quiet so the noise level on this air pump is very nice! The pump has a nice weighty feel and is equipped with metal barbed outlets which are nice and solid and also sports a nice inlet filter in the bottom of the unit. The dial in top of the unit turns nice and smooth and will make the pump whisper quiet all while still moving a respectable amount of air. I have the pump sitting under my tank hidden in a cabinet on the stand. My pump is set up with 2 different outlets that are teed together to a check valve, the check valve goes to a single line that then tees off again to 3 different 12" long air stones. Having a pump can probably handle 6, 12" long air stones is pretty good id say. Overall I am very surprised at what I got out of an air pump that is under $30, I will certainly be ordering another to run 2 sponge filters and maybe some bubblers.

This is a great little air pump. We use it for our hermit crab tank and it does a great job on our pools. The hoses are thicker than normal. Overall, a good deal for the money

The pump works fine but the noise is so awful. And usually noisy pumps and filters don't bother me. It's much louder than even my window ac unit.

This pump is super quiet and the air output it generates is just perfect for my hydro setup set at about 80% level. I just bought 2 more to replace my old noisy pumps. I just hope it lasts for a year or two. We will see. Definitely 5 stars.. This is a great value purchase at this price.
