You get ALOT! I had to put it in caps so you'll understand the gravity of the amount and how much Im trying to relay. It works just fine but you'll need a razor blade to cut it to shape easily. Scissors won't do the trick at least mine wouldn't. This will last probably a year maybe 2 with my little 20 gallon and 10 gallon tank filters. I use filter floss in my aquariums filters instead of replacement charcoal filters. This roll of floss is easy to cut to fit my filter. The media doesn't shed lots of tiny fibers after cutting like some other brands that I have used. The media has lots of small nooks and crannies for all that good beneficial bacteria to grow! I use this filter material for several uses/cleanings by just rinsing it really well and reusing it. This value sized roll is priced to be very economical and saves so much money over buying replacement cartridges! 100% recommended! ... show more

Wow! This is a lot of filter pads. As I use these as my first filtration layer, I can never have enough as I replace them often (even though they are reusable). These arrived in a nice air sealed vacuum bag, making them great of shipping/storing. Opening the bag and cutting out a piece for my aquarium, adding water will trigger it to expand. Overall, no complaints here and for the quantity you get, I feel these are a great price as well. ... show more

I really like and appreciate this media as I can cut and shape it to the various filters I use. Works great in fact helped clear up a 20 long tank overnight in a penguin 150 filter. I see it as an inexpensive easy way to customize filter boxes of all kinds and super easy to cut to fit.
