For years, I always went for something slightly cheaper because it usually gets gross and dirty. But let me tell you, this is only slightly more “expensive” and it’s so beyond worth it. Especially because my pigs find more joy in the Furr-O outside of the cage, compared to inside. It has stayed in great condition. Seeing how comfy they get as prey animals, is shocking!! My pigs are not typically the type to want to be held, ever. But this changes that and it’s super cute to see!! In the last 5 years, I've only written negative reviews, usually when angered by receiving cheap garbage masquerading as something that works. Sometimes I've found products that are dangerous to guinea pigs marketed as safe for guinea pigs, and that angers me to no end. So what a joy it is to find this bed, which I bought on a whim for my sweet ailing pig, and be SO impressed by the care and thought that went into it. Like GuineaDad, this is a product designed by people who understand guinea pigs, proper care, and their owners. The bottom is removable and reversible, and the two provided have different functions for different pig personalities. They designed it the way I would design a bed if I was smarter. How many times have you bought something on amazon, assuming it did something, or fit something, only to find that you paid $20 just to throw something out. This bed is the OPPOSITE! When a product anticipates its users needs, it creates a great feeling for the consumer. And it did for me. It also creates a great feeling for my guinea pigs, although theirs is more about being enclosed in a lush soft cocoon of comfort. The world of commerce badly needs more of this energy. My daughter's gonna pig is absolutely loving her soft warm bed. You think it's a little pricey but so worth the money. Very well made. Easy cleaning. Just throw it in the wash. Fabric is pretty thick for it being shag and super soft. I love how you get two bottoms to it one is thick and the other is stretchy for them to borrow. The bottoms unzip which is great cause you can just throw them in the wash and make them smell all clean again. ... show more

This is nice, and both of my pigs enjoy it now when they are out for playtime/cuddle time. They seem to favor the thicker, more padded removable bottom over the thin spandex one. It took my sow Butter a little time to understand how to get in, turn around and feel comfortable using it. Treats were a good tool to help her feel comfortable once she was in it. My boar Peanut is still a little unsure of it, but we are getting there and once i help him into it he likes it. It's very well made and is definitely a great tool for holding and cuddling with your pigs. I'm sure after some time they will both get in it without a second thought. I only wish the stretchy part was more plush or fuzzy, it's very thin and doesn't offer much in the way of warmth or comfort like the furry donut part does. Such a cute and soft cuddle sac. Piggies loved it and would sleep often. Easy to assemble and seems safe. However, my piggies pee and poo on this guy, so I can’t just wash the bottom part. I need to be able to wash the entire thing. This was a HUGE mistake. The fur turned into dense fluff after one wash… completely unusable now which is sad. Expensive too. Works if you only wash the bottom and your pets don’t get the fur dirty. Otherwise it changes in the wash- gets dense and piggies can’t get into it… ... show more

Our little loves his pouch. If he gets in it, you will be unzipping it to get him out. He is our little hibernating guinea pig. Very easy to clean. He looks adorable in it. We have had no issue with the zipper getting caught. The size is perfect for Mr. Moo. He must approve of it too. He sleeps well in it as long as we let him.
