Arrived on time and in good condition. These knives are sharp out of the box. Be careful if you are not accustomed to handling truly sharp knives. They are nicely weighted and do not seem to cause hand or wrist fatigue. These knives easily cut through the partially frozen chuck roast in the attached photo in less than 60 seconds. While these knives look nice and well made, I give craftsmanship 3 stars because I do not know yet how well they will stand up to repeated use. I've only had them a week. They are not near the high end of professional chef knives, but they are very nice. Still, overall, I give these 4 stars overall.

I just wanted some sharp knives that didn't set me back $300, so I took a chance on this set. 1) Very good craftsmanship, with polished wood handles 2) Sharp enough for what I used them for which is basic veg, meat, poultry prep 3) VERY good fit in the hand, with the nakiri knife being probably the best knife I've used 4) Comes in a good case, which I store them in so as not to dull the blades 5) Paring knife is the perfect size for paring fruit and veggies I'm not a professional chef, just a home cook, but these knives allowed me to throw out about 12 others so I don't have a drawer full of mediocre knives any longer.
