Knives come sharp and are of good quality. The steak knives are serrated and I prefer non serrated. The built in sharpener is a nice feature but likely wouldn't work with the steak knives.

The media could not be loaded. Really nice set! Lightweight and balanced, love the way the steak knives look on a well-dressed table setting. NO screws or wooden handles to detach or warp; the scissors are REALLY functional when cutting through chicken pieces/bones, stew meat, etc. The wood block looks spiffy on my countertop too!

I love the knife set.... they stay sharp and look very good. The problem I have is that I have purchased 2 sets of these at 59.99 per set and so I thought I would order 2 more sets for Christmas presents.....Come to find out they have almost doubled in price since September and are now 99.99. Thats beyond my budget.....I really hate that.
