This was the absolute easiest remote start to install EVER!!! The installation required NO cutting, splicing, and/or soldering. I didn't have to perform any modifications to my vehicle's wiring harness, nor had to tap into any sort of power wires like other units I've installed for myself and others. You can remove this at anytime and it would be like it was never there. The most difficult part of the entire process was removing the Plastic housing that covers the Steering Wheel column area that you need to access to plug it in. I had to remove 3 T-20 screws, however one of them required a longer T-20 than I had on hand so I need to go buy a longer one. But the worst part was getting the bottom portion of the Plastic Housing to pull free of the Steering Wheel plastic. It wouldn't push back far enough to pop out. I had to remove the Center Steering Wheel Horn/Airbag section and use a small plastic pry bar to pop it out. You'll see exactly what I mean when you try this, its hard to explain. The rest was simple, just follow the provided instructions on programming it. The next difficult part was reversing the Plastic Housing steps and getting that piece back in where it needed to go. Again with the Plastic pry bar it was possible but I feared scratching or worse cracking the housing. I found turning the Steering Wheel, once partially on, helped it fall into place. I'd say the entire process took about 30 minutes, not including the trip to the store for the longer T-20 tool. 25 minutes of the 30 minutes was probably spent removing that Plastic Housing. Maybe there is a trick to it, but I couldn't find one. I also like how it uses your existing Key Remotes, I like not having an extra fob on my keychain. I also disabled my horn lock chime using some remote key combinations, not provided in the instructions. I thought that having to press the Lock button 3 times to start it, would upset my neighbors when I was doing it so early in the morning. I'm now thinking of getting their MyCar device which I guess will work with this Remote Start and allow me to start my JEEP with my Smart Phone. I highly recommend this product.

Before I purchased this I watched several online videos. I would recommend the same to anyone else purchasing and installing this themselves. You will need a small ratchet with 10mm socket and a T20 Torx. I struggled a little because I could not find my dedicated T20 screwdriver and was attempting to use a cheapie type screwdriver that has the changeable bits, the issue was that the shaft was too fat. After retreating to the toolbox to find my snap on ratcheting screwdriver the cover was off the bottom of the steering wheel. The plug that you remove from the module was more delicate than I expected so be careful there, the part you have to push is on the back side, I recommend a small 90 degree hook tool . Once you have the sequence down for the programming it is easy to do. One issue I had was figuring out that if you hold down the button too long the sequence starts again, let go once you see all leds turn blue otherwise it starts flashing multiple colors again. Everything is working as it is supposed to. We have not tested the range yet but I think my wife will be happy as long as it works from inside the house.

Bought this kit for an 07 JKU and it works flawlessly. The installation instructions were fairly straight forward. If you have issues with the installation or are not that mechanically inclined there are several videos to choose from on YouTube. Just as an FYI this kit WILL work with a manual transmission. You will need to run a "bypass" on the clutch switch. They will not endorse this due to safety and liability concerns, good for them. If you do this with a manual transmission you need to make ABSOLOUTLEY SURE your vehicle is in neutral and the parking brake is set. FAFO =)

Unit was easy to install and setup. The worst part as others have stated was the lower steering collar. It was very difficult to remove. If it wasn’t for that, the installation could have very well only been 15 mins, but you would have to be damn good at it. Follow instructions exactly, especially when it states to release button when blue light is lit while programming. Bought this remote start for my Daughters birthday in October even though her birthday wasn’t until November simple because I wanted it to be somewhat warm out for the install as I have no shop to work in.

I installed this on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The only issue I had during the install was getting the plug unplugged from the immobilizer. Luckily the 2015 still had the clamshell case around the steering wheel without the lip so it came off super easy. The plug from the immobilizer was not so easy. I finally had to break down and ask my wife if I could borrow her small fingers to help get in there and help to get the tab on the backside pushed in. With both of us working at it we finally got it unplugged. After that, the rest went smoothly and I had it connected and programmed in about 15 mins. It works great. Just watch the videos before hand. I watched a few of them before doing the job.

The easiest install ever. Alarm and audio shops beware. If you like trying to fix or mod your own car or rig. This kits for you, look over the instruction plug and play. Great price compared to going to a specialist. I have the simple version on my 2010 jeep. Lock 3 times a lock chime goes off not including the 3 times you hit lock. I don't care for my parking lights being on . I just listen for the engine start and I'm good. To this day I have not had any issues with the remote start No Cel or security lights displaying works flawless. One more thing just like any remote starter once you step on the brake and it shuts off.

Best add on I could have installed on the jeep. Quick and simple. Push the lock button 3x it turns on. All you have to do is unlock the jeep get in put ur key in and turn it twice. Not all the way cause it’s already on. After 10-15min it turns off if you leave it on stand by or press the lock button again 3x and it turns off. When you turn in on with the 3clicks and go in the jeep. If you push the break it’ll also turn off. Good price and worth every penny.

I have had this installed for about a week now and love it so far. Biggest detractor I have for this product is lack of instructions (i did not even get a qr code to online instructions like others did in the videos) i couldnt get a link to the instruction form the mpc website either and had to rely on several youtube videos (found one from mpc that was not correct which was funny). I have a 2017 wrangle sahara unlimited. I did not need to cut the green wire. Found this out after following instructions on the mpc video and cutting it. This caused an issue where it would start then immediately turn back off with the key. Worked fine when I reconnected the green wire. I also do not have a red security light on which some say i would if i left that wire connected. I also have ro remove the steering wheel which was easy enough due to the lip on the plastic on the column.
