This was the absolute easiest remote start to install EVER!!! The installation required NO cutting, splicing, and/or soldering. I didn't have to perform any modifications to my vehicle's wiring harness, nor had to tap into any sort of power wires like other units I've installed for myself and others. You can remove this at anytime and it would be like it was never there. The most difficult part of the entire process was removing the Plastic housing that covers the Steering Wheel column area that you need to access to plug it in. I had to remove 3 T-20 screws, however one of them required a longer T-20 than I had on hand so I need to go buy a longer one. But the worst part was getting the bottom portion of the Plastic Housing to pull free of the Steering Wheel plastic. It wouldn't push back far enough to pop out. I had to remove the Center Steering Wheel Horn/Airbag section and use a small plastic pry bar to pop it out. You'll see exactly what I mean when you try this, its hard to explain. The rest was simple, just follow the provided instructions on programming it. The next difficult part was reversing the Plastic Housing steps and getting that piece back in where it needed to go. Again with the Plastic pry bar it was possible but I feared scratching or worse cracking the housing. I found turning the Steering Wheel, once partially on, helped it fall into place. I'd say the entire process took about 30 minutes, not including the trip to the store for the longer T-20 tool. 25 minutes of the 30 minutes was probably spent removing that Plastic Housing. Maybe there is a trick to it, but I couldn't find one. I also like how it uses your existing Key Remotes, I like not having an extra fob on my keychain. I also disabled my horn lock chime using some remote key combinations, not provided in the instructions. I thought that having to press the Lock button 3 times to start it, would upset my neighbors when I was doing it so early in the morning. I'm now thinking of getting their MyCar device which I guess will work with this Remote Start and allow me to start my JEEP with my Smart Phone. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

Works great. However, instlation in my 2018 JKU was very frustrating. No way is it a 15 minute install. Removing the steering wheel lower cover is a big challenge. I watched several u tube videos that were helpful. I wasn't able to slip in the molding tool as shown in the videos. Perhaps mine is a bit closer together. After trying several tools and ways for over an hour, I resorted to using the wide molding tool to get an edge between the covers, and then resorted to using a hammer to carefully pound the tool into the opening. I continued this process all the way around, and then it popped off. The next challenge was removing the switch. After sore fingers and no results, I found another u tube video of a guy showing to use a small blade screwdriver while laying on his back to push in the catch and twist the screwdriver. It popped off easily. Reinstalling the cover is another major challenge. Finally, I resorted to removing a portion of the lip and was able to slip the lower portion back on. Make sure you tighten all 3 screws all the way to prevent binding of the ignition switch. I works as advertised, other than instlation. ... show more

I installed this on a 2012 Wrangler. Start to finish, it took me no longer than 10 minutes to install it. So far it has worked every time. For the money, I don't think there is a better option. The extra length of wire can just be ziptied out of the way. The wiring harness is well made as well as the control box. The label on the box could be a bit nicer but you really don't need it for anything. ... show more
