Initial reaction to the bench out of the box was... Yes! I made the right decision!. I immediately knew the bench was well built just by pulling it out of the shipping box. Strong steel construction, the bench felt really solid. The frame is solid and strong and the back support and seat pad feel firm but not hard to cause discomfort but great for continuous use and support. Adjusting the back support is easy when you want to switch height levels for different bench exercises. I've had two weeks to break this bench in and I'm very happy with this purchase. The instructions are sufficiently clear but English is not the author's first language. Packaging is excellent. Assembly is easy with the two supplied tools. Buyers should note that folding the bench for storage requires removal of an easily accessible and removable "lock" pin. That pin must be securely inserted into its proper position to make the bench safe and usable as intended. The bench is overbuilt for my purposes.     • Good sturdy bench press. But be careful when putting it together.

Good steady product but be careful when you’re putting it together. When putting on the legs, there are very sharp corners that can cut you open. Very seriously. I would advise the makers of this product to check sharp and pointed edges so that if a kid ends up ordering this product, they don’t accidentally cut themselves. This could lead to a liability suit. What are than that? I sounded down the points and sharp edges with a file and can live with it. Thing is I shouldn’t have to do this. Other than that the product is dirty and did come with all the parts. It was easy to assemble. It’s also easy to remove the pins and fold it up so it doesn’t take that much space in your room or garage. I would give this a solid 3 1/2 stars. ... show more

It appears to be a solidly build piece of equipment. That's all I can say at this point. The assembly instructions are absolutely useless so, thankfully, it is already easy to assemble with few parts. That said, for Pete's sake, are there zero humans in China working at these companies - or at paid consulting companies - who can rationalize these instruction manuals? Or, alternatively, just make them all pictures with no poor attempts at English? I wonder if the other languages are equally poorly written. My favorite part (sometimes poorly written equals funny): "Warm and Sweet reminders: When you use the bench, please make sure the Pins had been insert fully! thanks very much." I SWEAR those words, exactly as written, including caps / punctuation, are in this manual. ... show more
